Summary

Angelica wants you to model for her next painting, but your taste in clothes doesn't match her current mood. Go find the clothes she likes and come back wearing them... before she changes her mind.

Walkthrough

Angelica, the Valley Girl artist staying on the second floor of the Rarab Tail Hostelry, asks you to change into something more fitting for her mood.

What she asks for will depend on your job class:

Corsair / Dark Knight / Dragoon / Paladin / Warrior - Bronze Harness
Bard / Blue Mage / Monk - Robe
Beastmaster / Dancer / Ranger / Thief - Leather Vest
Black Mage / Puppetmaster / Red Mage / Summoner / White Mage - Tunic
Ninja / Samurai - Kenpogi

If you are successful, she will give you a painting called Ancient Blood and the key item: Angelica's Autograph.

Please be advised, this quest is timed. If you take too long to return to Angelica dressed in the requested item, she will tell you that you are "so yesterday's style" and the quest will end without success. Failure will result you receiving the title, "Lower than the Lowest Tunnel Worm".

If you take too long, change back into your regular gear, zone, then zone back in and then talk to her twice to restart the quest.

After some running back and forth to zone, I did this:

1. Equip nothing.
2. Keep the requested item in your inventory.
3. Talk to Angelica with nothing equipped. After
she is finished give it a few secs, and talk
to her again. She will let you know what you
need to wear.
4. Wait a few sec, equipped requested gear, and
wait for the event.

Happy questing!

It may or may not be necessary to do the next quest involving Angelica, where she wants you to put up a painting for her in the Temple of Uggalepih.

I wonder about this too. Awhile back when looking at Allakhazam, there was info about the following quest involving seeing somebody and passing the autograph to someone else. But for some reason it's not here anymore, maybe it's elsewhere that I forgot. But either way, I'd appreciate it if somebody can tell me what I can do with the autograph. Thanks.

And if the previous Anonymous poster is correct about the Temple of Uggalepih, please post more info about it.

No, you don't trade her the tunic.. you have to be wearing it in time. But you might try talking to the mithra downstairs or taking it on and off to trigger her again... I'm going to have to try that too because she told me the same thing.. you are so out of style stuff... [li][/li]

Good information. I'll have to retry this quest again. I talked to her the first time, but my inventory was full and I wouldn't have gotten the picture. So I went to my mog house and dumped some stuff and came back. She said I was too slow. I also didn't click on her a second time to get more information. I already knew I needed a Tunic. I'll give it another shot when I'm online again.

If I want to keep doing quests across the world is there any way to keep my previous title? Or would there be any way to get this one back when ever I wanted to?

You can pay one of the npc bards to switch to any title you've gotten before in their city.
Vana time or RL time?

Does anyone know exactly how the timer works; i.e., can you log after getting the quest, then get back on the next RL day and complete it successfully?

just zoning works fine and you get the quest again

If you talk to her and refuse the quest, you get an awesome title. It so befits a Dark Knight that I'm going to go get this title again on a regular basis anytime my title changes.

She won't give me my reward. I have the tunic i equip only it and she always says I'm too slow, even if I do it right in front of her.

Please advise, I am a level 15 BLM.

There is more text you have to run through after you accept the mission. Keep clicking on her and she will tell you what specifically to put on for her. I got hung up on this and she would reject me regardless of how quickly I changed to my bronze harness. Once I understood there was more text to trigger before changing clothes it worked fine.

Also, the writer below is correct - if you are rejected all you have to do is zone and come back and the quest will be reset. Just logging out didn't seem to reset it. Good luck!

I'm from windhurst and moved to san d'oria at 12 to do some quests.

I've done like 18 now in san, with having already done 27 or so in windhurst.

In San, at a bar, is some hume lady named Nah"something" or other. She says how she is a model but the guy she modeled for around here is gone. She wants to model for someone.

You don't get any kind of a quest, but now that I'm back in windhurst I'll go and see if this gives me any new options with Angelica.
Hmm guess not..

After talking to the lady in San D'oria, who mentions she would like modeling work, I went back to Angelica and got her same old stuff.

Wonder if its a quest that starts with the lady in san d'oria, who wants to model, but you need higher fame?

She wants a robe, and if you talk to her a second time after she tells you the whole line about you being perfect of some such, she tells you what you need to where.

# Nov 07 2003 at 2:11 AM Rating: Default
Hi. I'm a level 13 Thief and I talked to Angelica to activate the quest. Right after that, I put on my leather vest and talked to her again, but she said I failed cuz I didn't look good enough or something. Has anyone else had this problem? I read faqs saying Thief should wear leather vest, but this isn't working for me.

The shop on the dock has tunics for sale as long as your nation is ranked at least 2 in the conquest. Currently, Windurst is ranked 3rd and the shops on the dock sell jack crap for items now. We started 2nd when I started the game.

So you may have to buy one from the AH.
RE: Tunic
# Nov 06 2003 at 2:14 PM Rating: Default
Incorrect.
I did this yesterday, windhurst is 3rd on ifrit server. The tunic is still for sale on the docks, last boat, for 1,446g.

I had equipped on me at the time a leather vest when I approached Angelica. I took it off and talked to her. She gave me the quest, telling me to go get a leather vest. I then equipped the vet no more than 2 seconds later, re-talked to her, and got the quest done.

I concur with the parent post. Windurst is ranked 3rd on Ramuh and the only items for a BLM are cuffs, slops, and ash clogs. No tunic. They did however, have a leather vest for my thief to complete this quest.
Help!
# Nov 06 2003 at 1:15 PM Rating: Default
Since I am a BLM, I have a bring a tunic with which requires me to be at least level 8 to wear. Now that I accidentally activated the quest at level 5, is there a way I can reset the timer? Or does anyone know how long the timer is (approximately)?

Last question, where can I buy a tunic anyway and what is the average price? I tried the shop at Windurst Port, but they don't seem to carry a tunic.

Any helps, tips, additional information are much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

To reset the timer, all you need to do is zone in and out, and talk to the little Mithran girl at the bottom of the stairs.

I was a lvl 1 BLM when I got this, so I had the same problem. ^^

The post here says Minimum Level 1 and that's technically correct. You can get the quest assigned to you at level 1. However, as a Black Mage, I couldn't complete it until Level 8.

The tunic she wanted me to wear is level attuned and I couldn't put it on until I hit level 8. So, for all intents and purposes, this quest is un-doable until 8th level...for Black Mages, anyway.
