Description

  • Note, you need Tenshodo Membership to do this quest!
When you first talk to him, it would appear that there is only two possible choices to pick from. In reality, there is three: the third one is hidden. If you have "Treasure of Aht Urhgan" installed, you will be able to highlight the third choice which has nothing written on it. This will trigger a cutscene.

After it, you have to click him again. This time, he tells you he wants an item and that there are three different levels you can choose from: Easy, Intermediate, and Advanced.

Easy After getting called a coward he will tell you he needs 6 items, which happen to all be the items required to get your sub-job in BOTH Mhaura and Selbina.

Selbina: Magicked Skull, Crab Apron, Damselfly Worm Mhaura: Bloody Robe, Dhalmel Saliva, Wild Rabbit Tail

This one will be great if you are a newer player, but will look silly if you are running around the Dunes at lv75 killing the lowbie's XP mobs!

Intermediate This one is a little harder, but not too hard. Perfectly doable for someone in their mid40s or 50s, depending on the job in question. It requires simply the lv30 cap garrison items (three of them).

Jade Cryptex Silver Engraving Thirdteen-Knot Quipus

Advanced Best option for the item space limited, but harder.

Testimony for any of the jobs. (Paladin's Testimony, Monk's Testimony, ect)

Coffer Key from any of the beastmen strongholds (Beadeaux, Davoi, Castle Oztroja, Temple of Uggalepih, Sea Serpent Grotto, Den of Rancor, Quicksand Caves)

Pso'Xja chips: Carmine, Cyan, and Gray (he wants one of each)

Personally recommend either the test or coffers. You might have a better chance with the testimony since it's common for those to drop in skill up/coffer hunt parties and just about nobody needs it for that particular job (I used a Dark Knight test, DRK being lv3 at the time.)

Alternative You could just cough up 500k...but why?

Once you give him the item he needs, you have to wait one game day...(You must also zone!)click him again and you get your boarding pass!

The ship you need is in Mhaura; make sure you board the right one and not end up in Selbina!

Is it just me?

The other day I was partying in dunes, needless to say I was rather confused as to why high-lvl characters were killing off Snippers and Damselflies, when the party ended I agreed to help a new Mnk get his Skull... only to find the Gusgen Mines overrun and devoid of mobs.

Now that I know this is the quest I can understand why, But am I the only one who thinks its a little stupid for SE to use the subjob quest items for this quest when they have just received an influx of players from Xbox 360, and returning players for the release of the expansion?

Just my two gil...

It dosent matter if you pick the easy option or the hard one there is no extra item or gil for what ever one you do.I know this as me and a friend did this together i did the hard option he did the easy i only did the hard one as i had already had one of the coffer keys he wanted and i dont know why link friend picked easy but thats what the picked.Hope that helps you pick what to go for and anyone having trouble getting this finished rember to zone in and out and waiting one vandel day before talking to him again.Good luck all see you in the new area.
Hmm 24 hours eh?

Ok this seems abit odd but...

I've gave the items for this quest (Beginner's list), yet still Faursel still says to wait 24 hours, i've done both 24 hours in game and 24 hours out of game, but still says the same, do I have to like leave the city or something o.O

Anyone else getting this problem?

I had to zone after trading the item. You might be able to finish the quest after logging out and back in, but zoning worked for me.
Zone in and out and you'll be able to flag it...

Bwahahahah, can I post on a quest topic for a quest that does not even exist yet?
