You have a bunch of Qiqirns to interrogate, as one of them is a spy! Figure out which one it is through questioning. Finding the spy will complete this mission.

whats a quirin
The best part of Final Fantasy XI is its rich storyline. It separates this game from other MMORPGs. I chose to give my character a storyline that goes along with the game's storyline. I find that this is a more fun way to play the game. Playing the game just to fight in the endgame and collect elite equipment is very boring and is totally missing the main objective of the game, which is to guide your character through the storyline which is to save the world.

Did this tonight.

This can be either easy or hard depending on what you want.

There's minimal fighting (puks are around the entire area, can be taken down easily by 2 people), and you need to talk to the quirin running around the area.

When you click on a quirin it will give you three options: capture, talk, or nothing.

If you talk to a quirin, it will either tell you a direction, distance, or (basically) nothing at all.

Directions will come in general north, east, west, or south.

Distance will come in two main types: near or far, or a distance...I can't remember the exact measurement, but he would say that the double agent was 110 'somethings' away.

Nothing at all will come about in a few ways. One quirin will just say that he doesn't know who the double agent is, or that he just comes to this place for fun. This is the group our double agent was in. He said that he just came to this place for fun.

Basically just run around until you get a direction and a distance. Run in that general direction until you feel that the distance is sufficient (long ways isn't really that long) and start talking to quirin again and start the process over again.

When you feel that you have the area pinpointed down fairly well, start looking for the quirin that just talks nonsense. I'm not sure if he says the same thing every time, but I do know that more than one quirin will say what the double agent says (our double agent talked about going there for fun, and the first quirin I talked to said the same thing). If there are more than one quirin that you suspect, try getting directions/distances in that area again to try to zero in on the agent.

Once you think that you've found him, choose the capture option. If you found him it will unlock the rune of release. I'm not sure what happens to each NPC if don't find him correctly, but I do know that you lose AP earned.

Another strategy that I've heard will give a near-guaranteed win is just running around trying to capture every quirin. I know that each time you capture the wrong quirin lowers your AP, but for people that are trying to rank up without a loss of an ID tag, this may be a last resort option.

Any comments on this guide, please respond. Like I said, we did this for our first time with minimal information (that you need to talk to the quirins to find the double agent, and that you lose AP if you find the wrong agent), and I'd like to refine this down to a good guide for people doing this assault.
