Alla is still wrong. Warcry's cooldown it 5 minutes not 3. You can't even get it down to 3 minutes with full merits. Duration is correct though: 30 seconds by itself and 45 seconds with Warrior's Mask.

it increases the attack of all within its radius in a party by aprox 20% for 30 seconds.
the more people who recieve this buff means more hate for the user (IE 1-2 people, not much hate, everyone in party, more hate)
it stacks with other att-up stats like minuet, berserk, last resort etc and is based on your BASE ATT not what it is at the time it is used,
it lasts for 30 seconds and has a re-cast timer of 5 minutes. same re-cast timer as berserk and aggressor.
nothing conclusive has ever been found to state that this JA lowers acc or interfere's with skill chains, however as it directly raises att not str as well the cap effect of the str-att relationship this could explain the results some people see when this appears to lower damage.
please, read the war forums before talking about a JA belonging to that class.
Nothing has been changed in-game with Warcry. It's just that this information on Alla has been updated. A correction on duration time maybe. That's all. =)
When tanking in a party I tend to use this more as an emergency provoke than an attack up. When all else has failed (provoke still not available after using it) and the mages are pulling hate on themselves, it is one extra tool in a warrior's repetoire to make sure the mages don't get hit.
You do less damage with Asuran Fists because Warcry does not stack with Boost. Whichever of these two abilities you have up first will stop the other from boosting your attack, and Boost gives a higher att bonus, even if it's just for one hit.
If you want confirmation of this, Boost, use warcry and look at the icon at the top of your screen, and notice you don't get both icons. And just look at your attack after Warcry is used, and then use Boost and look again.
I learned this early on when I still subbed MNK as a WAR after getting Warcry - didn't last long.
actually, i think it may just lower weaponskills in general. at least some of them, anyway. on my older character, a 62 WAR/NIN, a thf friend of mine had been noticing that his SATA WS's always did less damage after i used Warcry.
for example: in a Nest party, i used it, he did SATAVB, and did roughly 100 damage less than normal. we tried it over and over again, and ALWAYS got the same results.
nearing the end of that character's life on Pandemonium, when we were both 62-63, we tried again with SATA Dancing Edge. again, it did about 100-200 less damage than without Warcry.
i really wish someone would do a bit more extensive testing on it, because it may be ******** up many people's skillchains.

you know i noticed this too... but i thought that couldnt be right. I was planning on doing some testing but never got around to it.
I used to be paranoid like that too. I thought about it though and there would be no reason for that, its just the fluctuation on you DMG. (specially on multi-hit attacks). Maybe you didnt get that crit or double attack in on your WS. I never thought about that when i used berserk or warcry. Id always think wtf... why does it seem like half the time it gimps my ws dmg, but no.
Just one other note about Warcry it pulls hate. So if your setting up for SATA and your the trick partner don't use it to give your THF a boost, you'll just end up having it turn towards you. In the same way if you voke and you can't get hate back to you, throw a Warcry ((for me)) it's been working for getting the MOBs attention.
Even though 10% might not seem like a lot, if you use it smartly i can vouch that its pretty handy. Our party used this on a monk/war who was doing combo skillchain end. Stacked warcry/berzerk/boost (and bard +acc and +atk songs) with a good mutlti hit wskill (i can only drool over what we'd have with raging fists or asuran fists) and you can get some really nice damage. So its not like it is an ultimate move or anything but if you are careful about adding it to a renkei every 5 mintutes or so its a helpful little tool. If you use it right before the start of the skillchain than it will last long enough to up everyone's renkei damage. Too bad im playing PLD now so i dont get the skill back until level 70..
Having just got it it seems to increase attack by just under 10%(For 30 seconds as Louisv says). Not useless, but not all that potent either unless it's power increases with level. It's still a very good skill because of it's other effect-it draws at least as much hate as provoke. Save it for this purpose if you're the main tank. If you aren't then use it to boost everyones attack right before a skillchain.
