With carby mitts, carby's perpetuation is halved to 2.5 (rounded down to 2 per tick). Auto refresh takes down to 1 per tick. Day also affects this (another 1 per tick i think). Other than that can't think of any other reason.
I was wondering how this is possible but I am a level 26 Summoner with Carbuncle mitts and I have carby free where ever I go this makes no sense because I should not be able to get him free at this level unless there is a hidden effect on my Equipment

Yeah, PLD get it at 35, SMN at 25. PLD75/SMN37 do not stack. In case anyone had an thought. Similar to Magic Attack Bonus trait is not added from sub..BLM/RDM for example.
OK, if I get this ability and i sub smn for a lvl 50 job, will I get this ability for that job too?? i dont think i do but i wanted to make sure lol :D
ya it does, but as you get higher in lvls as a summoner, your avatars become more expensive per tick, im a lvl 30 smn and my avatars take about 5 mp per tick (carby-4 i think) hope this helps
auto refresh turns off when you summon, so, this does nothing for yoru avaatrs sadly... (this can be proven, when you have carby mits and light staff, you dont get any MP back, even tho you have way more - perpet than needed to hold him for 0 MP)

This means, should there be sufficient additional gear released designed to reduce the perpetuation cost of other avatars it would be possible to gain MP even with them out.

WRONG! It does not turn off, as the two previous said, it is taken away from the Prep cost of the avatar, however the trait is the first thing considered for an avatar prep cost so no matter how much -prep you ahve, you can't get that refresh whilst an avatar is out, however equipment refresh is considered after -prep unlike the trait, also same applies to refresh effects granted in other methods like spells, songs, rolls or items, they are considered after the -prep stuff.

Auto-Refresh allows one to have the effect of Refresh on at all times. What it does is it constantly gives 1 mp per Vana'diel minute to you, even while standing. This trait stacks with everything used for MP regeneration, such as Refresh and Yagudo drinks.
I was surfing KT's summoner site (www.summoner.info) and it says that at lvl 45 and 70, you get +2 and +3 MP per "tick" while standing respectively. Can this be confirmed by any high lvl summoner's here? I'm wondering if this may be a typo or mistranslation since I haven't seen this info anywhere else, and just want to clear this up.
Clear Mind is your base mana regeneration. While resting it _adds_ MP the longer you rest. The +2/3 probably refers to it increases base mana regeneration while standing.
It's actually one MP per vana'diel minute, which comes out to be like 2.7 seconds, but 3 seconds is the closest guesstimation without getting into icky fractions and decimals.
I actually got bored once and calculated Vana'diel time. Week Day Hour minute even how long a second was. Anyways if I remember right 1 Vana'diel minute is 2.13 seconds or so.
