do the Ninja's Alterness and Ranger's Precaution stack?

and in Qufim Isle, where there are dancing weaps in the tunnel, i usually sub nin or rng as a thf. Walking about 3metres away from the weapon, it doesnt aggro still,
i walk past giants, wights and they dont aggro. Some reason, worms, banshees still aggro at the normal distance.

Sometimes in the Kazham jungles, i walk past a gob occasionally and i dont get aggro, but i still do sometimes.

My theory, these 2 "anti aggro" job traits reduce the aggro radius of a mob.

Ninja's Stealth and Ranger's Alertness can be in the trait list at the same time, they have both the same description "Lowers chance of being detected by enemies."

Whether they stack or not i haven't researched, maybe once i level RNG further...^^

Well I'm a Yuggot grotto miner, my job lvl is 32 and I do get some easy prey orc there, but they don't aggro, since neither of my job main/sub is rng/nin well then we can say that borderline easy prey mob don't aggro anyway.

For Easy Prey Mod, there is slightly complicate. I believe the mob is rate as Easy Prey when he is 3-7 levels lower than you.

It all depends on yous and his levels, if you just 3-5 levels, he still agro you as Easy Prey. 5+ will just ignore you like too weak to be worth while.

That's what I believed for a while too, but it changes as your levels get higher;

I was in Garlaige Citadel with an alliance trying to get coffer keys, one of the BLMs there was lvl 75 and the Ninja at 63, the mob we were fighting tagged Easy Prey to both of them.

The lvl gap for EP grows a quite deal as you say, @ 70 Rumble crawlers check Easy Prey, but the flies in the nest are too weak. which works out to almost a 20 lvl difference.

I just ran into Yughott Grotto as a THF31/RNG15 with Alertness, and I think I've got it. Normally "easy prey" aggro mobs would attack, but they don't seem to be attacking me now, so I believe that's what this affects. I could be horribly wrong, but hey, I'm not complaining, I don't feel like fighting Cursemakers, Fighters, and Serjeants right now! ^^

Hmm...on the way out, a Serjeant aggroed me, but I didn't think to check it as I panicked and Fled out of there. But I also just realized that on the way into Yughott from Fort Ghelsba, I didn't aggro two "easy prey" Orcs who were patrolling the tent in front of the Yughott entrance. I didn't think anything of it at the time, but now I'm pretty confident on my theory. I plan to test this on Rams soonish and come back with more...

(edit) Walked back in and walked around and noticed everything was "easy prey"...however, when I walked across an Orcish Serjeant in the same room as before, it aggroed me again. None of the other Orcs aggroed me, so I'm just terribly confused now.

If you killed the EP that aggroed you , I bet you would get more XP than for an EP that didn't aggro you.

What I'm saying is that it may have been higher lev than the others in the area. Maybe they will aggro within the first few levels of being EP but not the lowest few (where it's almost too weak).

You may get 18 or 25 XP for the one that aggroed, but only 12 for the others perhaps.
how effective is this

I was just wondering how effective this was. Like, I'm pretty sure you couldn't run through an area with IT mobs that agro without getting aggroed.
Precaution?
# Mar 01 2004 at 6:17 PM Rating: Decent
yeah its alertness...precaution could be a translation error from JP to Eng. Says alertness on mine.
