Does the effectiveness of Dual Wield increase as the ninja goes up in level?

at level 25 you get a big bonus to dual wield damage, and level 45 you get an insane bonus to dual wield damage.

Do those bonuses only apply if you're a lvl 25/45 NIN or can it apply even it NIN is your subjob?

The level 25 boost would be there when ninja is a subjob, but obviously the level 45 one couldn't, as the maximum level in the game is 75 and you would have to be level 90 for your subjob to be 45. Perhaps in the future.

Are you able to only duel wield swords or any 1 handed weapons?

with dual wield you can use any 1hand weapon that your primary class can use. you can mix em up also like my ninja has a sword and a katana.

I was told the same by a friend of mine who lvl'ed NIN to 30 before he quit. But, it's definatly needed, as ninja are so screwed on JA, JT, and WS. They don't get them as early as other classes seem to. Being a ninja, is simply, a pain in the ***, nothing more to it. But, for what I'm told by high level players, if you stick with ninja, you'll be glad you did. Was told Ninja and Ranger were the two power jobs .. we'll see about that.
