Managed to learn this in besieged. Your party *has* to have hate while it does the move so it registers as being learnable. We also got the final hit so that assumingly is another factor.
Diamondhide will absorb 2/3 of your blue magic skill. ie. 300 blue skill will make your diamondhide absorb 200hp per person.
