This spell seems to work best against melee-type Quadavs. I'm a lvl 25BLM with 46 int and I never lose concentration when casting thunder on even-match or tough Quadavs. In Qufim however, 75% of the time I deal half the damage to crabs and pugils (even though they're weak to thunder).
Elemental Seal seems to help the situation, but it's a 1-cast spell that has a 15 minute recast time.
