Anyway:

Bibiki Bay, while it can get you all the way to level 75, has pretty few pulls for the higher levels. After you kill the Fascinators and whatnot, the xp slows down at maybe level 69 or so. At that point, if your party is good enough, you can kill anglers (Actually I've killed Anglers in level 65 groups, but it was not easy). Conned to a level 74, from what I heard, Anglers are at least tough, and usually very tough with an occasional IT.

Bibiki bay is a good place for you to actually level all the way from 65 or so to 75, but keep in mind it's not the best place around; Sky is probably the most popular spot, but if you don't have access, Bibiki Bay is good enough.

Simply outstanding post. thank you very much for 1) taking the time to scout for your friends and 2) taking at least that much time again to make this post for complete strangers. We strangers very much appreciate your work and are putting it to good use.

Small tidbit of help for others as I didn't learn this until a lot later than I should have:

There's a "trick" to seeing how many people are in a zone before you trek all the way over there.

/sea [Zone Abbreviation]

I never-ever remember the abbreviations, but I think Crawler's Nest is "CrawlNest" so it would be

/sea CrawlNest

That way you can make a rough guess that if there's >/= Number of people/6 in your level range there already, camps and prey might be scarce.

edit: I tried what I proposed to work and it didn't. =( Changed, works now. Still need to remember to get the abbreviations

Wow Tac, I'm impressed ^^

Keep up the good work!

I was thinking... would beetles in Jugner Forest be a somewhat good variation to Valkurm Dunes? I haven't looked into it, but they seem to be a similar level to Crabs in Valkurm. (I think they're a bit higher by 2 levels...) I might scout the area in the next few days, just to see if there is an area where a lot of beetles spawn. (I'm desperate to leave Valkurm forever)

Great post, you do a lot of good work!

(I can call him Tac, He is in my LS) -_-

For Boyahda tree 64-66, consider inviting a BST to pet-pull Skimmers. BST are great party members in Boyahda Tree from 60 on because of all the available non-aggro pets; the Mouriouche mandies run 63-68.

Thanks for the update.

I tried the Yhoator Jungle spot from 44-47 and it was amazing EXP, very safe at the Ifrit's Cauldron zone - and a pretty setting.

Make sure to have barfira and stun ready because those gobs have pretty dangerous bombs.

Another camp for Crawler's Nest, ~42-45:

From when you drop into the Worker Crawler room, take the second right and go down the tunnel. Sneak past the Doom Scorpion and Soldier Crawlers, and drop into a room full of Labyrinth Lizards (sound aggro). Continue north into a tunnel with two Witch Hazels (non-aggro). This tunnel, H-7/8, is your camp. Pull lizards from the rooms on either end of the tunnel. This camp can support two parties, one on each end.

I leveled off antlions from about 60-62 in Attohwa. We camped in the entrance of the tunnel to Bone Yard gully. We alternated our pulls between Sand Lizards (rated VT to IT--) and Antlions. Be warned, the antlions have AOE blind, a cone poison attack similiar to the poison like flies and a bind move, they also have quite a bit of life, and also link by sound. XP was decent, and it is a very good spot if onzozo is packed or if you would rather xp on someting with considerable less evasion than the Toramas.

Edit: I have also heard about level 70+ people leveling off demons in the ulugerland range. Take a right when you first inter the zone and you will come to a cave. Keep following it up. You will come out into another open area with true sight Tauros mobs and keep heading up the slope and you will find another cave. This cave leads to yet another open area with more true sight Tauros mobs and raptors. Keep heading up the slope and you will finally reach another tunnel that comes out to the Demons and Eyes, as well with some ghost mobs and more Tauros mobs mixed in.

Well a few comments here:

1. Monastic Cavern
60-62 Orcs Campjust after the banishing gate (same place as level 60 cap item).

This seem correct. Went behind the gate at J9 and all of the Orcs there con as IT with high defense and high evasion at level 61.

2. Monastic Cavern
61-62 Camp at G-11. Orcs. The orcs may have alot of buffs on, so they may seem difficult at first.

There's something wrong here. Went to G11 and all the Orcs con as low VT or just T to level 61.

3. Do Antlions has any elemental weakness?

58-60 Goblins and moblins there. Again, with these CoP zones I don't have maps and I wasn't paying attention to <pos> so I'm not much help, but there are a couple of really good camps you can make at the zone ins. A word of warning, though: moblins hit hard and have huge amounts of HP, so get used to long fights if you don't have a good party with you

Tried this place yesterday with a great group since the usual areas were full. They were great as in how they managed not to kill me for recommending going here. Lol. I believe the party set up was 57-59, with the jobs being WHM(Me), RNG, RDM, MNK, PLD and THF.

Hardest part really was pulling. We would fight maybe 1-2 in a row, then have to zone because of some nasty linking. >.< EXP was pretty good to. And we didn't really want to give up for a while. But after almost everyone died(Me 2 times >.<) except MNK, we decided to run to Cape Terrigan. :/

We tried two zones that we knew of where we might be able to camp. It's not a bad place really. Just next time we will have to find the right camp to level there.

I'm not sure what, if any, elemental weaknesses they have. We just did a distortion chain on them since my static consists of me, thf/nin, and a drg/war.

Mostly bumping since people keep asking questions easily answered by this thread!

Also throwing another vote in for the Attohwa Hecteyes from 29-31. You can stay there until 32 and some of our static members pushed it to 33, but the XP was slow and pretty boring.

Off to Bibiki Bay and the Alraune on the Isle this weekend!

Minor clarification on the Purgonorgo entry: I'd suggest toucans for the first few levels (31-33), and the alraune for later levels (32 or 33-34). Also, remember that the alraune link.

Couple items for the Bibiki Bay area that I haven't personally confirmed, but do seem about right:

Last week my static was leveling at the entrance to Bikibi on bunnies, birds, and the occasional gob. Level range 27-28. The experaince was good but not stellar

Possibly a 25 or 26-28 range for mobs.

My static party leveled there a few weeks ago. We were 30-31, I think, and camped right at the zone to Buburimu Peninsula. We fought the birds, which were very tough and we eventually stopped fighting them after a few deaths, and XPed off of Marine Dahmels. Really great XP--I recommend leveling there.

And a post I'd almost forgotten about by Tenmiles at level 65 (and should be good to 67) (edited down to relevant parts):
Quote:
We went down deep into the underworld of the Den of Rancor under the Temple of Unpronouncable to fight Stygian Pugils.

We set up camp right at the zone of the Cloister of Tides and started chaining 5 on these pugils.

The only thing in the area besides the Pugils were a couple of big fat blobby Doom Toads.

Well, naturally I (the one with the deathwish) wanted to fight one, just for the novelty of it.

We quickly discovered how good an idea it was when we beat it without too much trouble and got 321 EXP for it!

We developed a pattern where we'd fight the Stygian Pugils for about 200 EXP each, and get chain 4 on a Doom Toad (they took a little too long to use them as chain 5's), which led to some spectacular results for EXP.

The thing about getting there is that it takes a lot of invis'ing through the Temple above, and going past the Paintbrush room, and once you get into the Den of Rancor, you need sneak as well.

If you have someone who knows exactly how to get to the Cloister of Tides, then you're good.

Additional notes: watch for elementals in the area. Tenmiles had a nin tank; pld tank may have rougher time on the toads.

Additional to Purgonorgo Isle for 32-35:

You can use the Toucans and Coastal Opo-Opos for XP chaining. The Opos have an AoE attack that will take away one buff for every party member it hits, so your WHM must be vigilant, but otherwise the Opos go down very easy at 33-35. You can find several secluded spots on the Isle where you can chain Toucans and Opos to 3, then finish off chans 4 and 5 with an Alraune.

Needed to bump this badly. LOL.

What's a good place for a party of 5 (lvl 61-62) to kill VTs on?
I guess since we are only 5 that kill ITs are out of the question.
