Just had a party by the outpost in Sanctuary of Zi'Tah, and wanted to make a couple comments.

Myxos, while of the appropriate level, have a nasty special attack, Dark Spore, that hit me for 423 and killed me. Of course I'm a Taru paladin with somewhat low HP, but it's something to be careful of.

Next, by the time we hit 39, most mobs were giving less than 100 xp each, with only an occasional gob pushing 120-150. I would say 35-38 is probably the best level range for here, though 35 may be a little early. 38 was easy fights with decent chain experience.

Carpenters Landing

Camp: East Jugner Zone - Unknown specific Camp
PT Lv24-26 - Enemy: Tigers
PT Lv24-26 - Enemy: Pugs

Well, I camped there with my subjob static. But it was from Lv21-25 and we didn't fight tigers and pugs, we fought beetles and mushrooms. At 25, the xp took a real bad hit but before that it was very good.

We camped right at the zone entrance for Lv21-23; and after that we camped at (I-11/12 in the tunnel leading to the beetle/shroom room) for Lv23-25. In the tunnel there are a few pops at the ends but if your group stays together and doesn't spread out too far you will be safe. Occasionally you will have to fight 2 maybe, we did, but with dual blink ninja's it was pretty simple. You will never run out of mobs cuz you can pull from either direction in the tunnel.

Next time we level I will maybe try the pugs/tigers but I do not like to be too far away from the zone. I'd rather go to Batilla Downs and try that though.

I still love this post, I hate to see it fall into the depths of Allakhazam - so I'm bumping it and adding some information to it.

For Behemoth's Dominion:

Camp at the tunnel opening at J/K-10 and pull Lesser and Greater Gaylas. There may be undead spawns in that area, but they don't like to mingle with the bats, and the campsite is safely away from them. The only danger is the elemental that likes to hang out there on occasion - but you can just pull your foe deeper into the tunnel to avoid any magic aggro.

Also, try to bring a Thief with you, as they absolutely own the bats in this place! You can hang out here from 32-36.

Heres a great place for 61-64ish (maybe even 65) Cape terrigan on Sand Cockatrices. Camp is north of zone from Gustav. Go like you are going to the top zone of VoS or headed to Gustav. At the top part of the mountains in the middle you can camp among the lizzies there. The only thing that will aggro will be the occasion T gob. Plenty of Cockatrice to pull from and they don't link. May get occasion raptor aggro while pulling, but otherwise very safe. Bonus is that the drops (meat) sell quick^^.

Camp: Waterfall Tunnels
PT Lv63-65 - Enemy: Korrigan
PT Lv63-67 - Enemy: Processionaire

I think this is kind of wrong in terms of level range. At level 65. About 60-70% of the Processionaire of conning VT to me. At lvl 66 I expect that percentage to grow even more. My general concern is where are the Processionaires that level 65-67 can level on?

I know I need to update. But I wanted to reply to your post Cphan:

I'm leveling there now ~ 66 Drg. And at 67, I'll move on. But the VT is perfect for Chain 5 and no resting for the next set. We did 4.5k /hour easy there for a few nights in row. Setup was PLD MNK DRG WHM RDM BLM. We were the only ones there. If there is another PT its hard to scrounge for that last crawler for chain 5 and things generally get distasteful. Like numerous people before me... you really don't want to chain IT++, you want IT- and VT+.

i realize Ambrose is about where i am level wise (I'm 67.5 atm), but my group will soon be lvl68 and we need a new spot then I think. I've seen lots of posts about xping endgame 72->75, but all the info concerning getting to 72 campwise seems spotty and erratic. I'm definitely confused as to weapons in sky areas and what levels are ideal, and I also seem to read posts that make it sound like many of these weapon camps gets cleaned out fast by higher level merit point parties. So where do i go?

I level with a static that is all right at same level, so for us, we like to find a camp with a sweet spot for our exact level, and preferably one with not awful competition. I like the Bay, but there tends to be one camp for your level range and if its full its full. so..

whats the sweet spot xpwise for 68 > 72, one level at a time? any ideas? we should do dhalmels in bay now? can the area support more than one party? and is there a really good camp in tree for 68? we've had a hard time finding a spot we love there. and we almost all have sky now, so that could be an option. Are there any other zones besides den, bay, tree and sky for us? like maybe newton? and what is sweet spot for the tunnel? first hand accounts of parties in high 60s appreciated. it'll take us a few weeks more being 67->68 so thats what im most keen on atm.

If you go down to the tunnel into the third map. You can try and camp at G10 or G11 for the Korrigans. Most of them there still con IT++ at lvl 66. But there aren't many crawlers over there and the thought of fighting just mandies over and over isn't very pleasing.

Once I hit 67 I'm gonna try the Elder Goodbue. For some reason people aren't exping on them at all.

Camp: Pug Alley (F-6)
PT Lv22-23 - Enemy: Clippers
PT Lv23-24 - Enemy: Giants
PT Lv23-25 - Enemy: Pugs
PT Lv23-25 - Enemy: Weapons
Details: Best place to pull Pugs. Undead do not spawn here. Watch for the Kraken to the East. Two PTs.

I suspect that <pos> may be incorrect...
The comment seems to imply (F-8) west of the Kraken spawn - this is a decent spot but you're totally boned if you need to zone an elemental or a bogy. I recommend camping the passageway at (H-6) - plenty of crabs, pugs, and even the occasional Gigas and not too far from zone. This is so much better than camping right in front of Delkfutts with everybody else.

Gonna have to try Korrigan. Steelshells were too hard to take down with my semi static. Skimmers were a MP drain with their AOE attack that did massive damage. Processionaire would probably be the best but the problem was that so many parties were pulling them that finding them were hard to do. We'll see how Korrigan do.

See, I was always told "don't touch the mandragora!!!" in Boyahda, as they are positively link-mad. That's why I can't XP off Mouriches, as much as I'd like to. Can you actually pull these monsters effectively?

Yup. In all my times there, never really have a problem with links in terms of Korrigans. The crawlers are a different story. If 2 Korrigans are standing next to one another then ya they will link. But for the most part it's pretty much open space and you should be able to pull them quite easy as long as you don't get aggro by the Elder Goodbues standing around too.

Bump! And also~

What would people here think about adding Greater Birds (Diatryma), in Misareaux Coast?
They seem to vary greatly in level however, when you cross the bridge, the ones on that side sometimes come up E/P to my 65 Rdm, but the ones before you hit the bridge are coming up EP/DC to my 55 Whm.
Would these be doable to a party of maybe 42-45'ish?

**edit**
I can't speak for everyone, but personally, I really enjoy being able to take a party to lesser traveled EXP areas (Uleregand, Altepa, battalia/surrounding)

Alla lists these as 47-51, cannotlinkto lists as 47-51

actually that monastic cavern camp is still good at 62 and 63, if your inclined... you just chain faster (always a plus.) I was there yesterday and it was nice :) Actually, the party next to us had a 64 in it, but i personally think thats pushing it a bit, and the camp works better with 1 party, although it can hold too. My party managed to handle 2 links and 2 pops (5 mobs total) with no rest quite well, and got some nice exp :) The orcs hit like babies, imho, (idk if thats a matter of my gear or what, i'm a PLD btw), although I would be hesitant to bring a NIN tank, as Orcish Champions seem to be able to hit 4 times in rapid succession, pretty much at will. I shudder to think what would happen if this thing does that twice in a row, killing all your shadows and then doing a few more hits (ow).

I'd like to point out some changes regarding Ro'Maeve. First off, you can start on weapons as early as 70-71. It helps to have a bard though as hitting can be a problem. Also, as with all weapons, watch out for the hellish AOE stun.

It's important that everyone in your party have at least two silent oils. Once you get past the zone line going in, it's not really safe to cast until you get to your camp. The zone is full of weapons, pots, and dolls, all of which aggro on magic.

The moongates are located C-7 and M-7. Each side is pretty much identical. I recommend the party leader put {East} or {West} in their search comment so other parties know which side you're on if they're headed there to level.

The options for camps are as follows:

- Just inside the gate. The benefit here is you can pull from either side. It's critical that you have a rdm or brd who is on top of things, however, as you *will* get adds/links.

- Take a left or a right after passing the moongate, it doesn't matter. Stay on the upper level and find a room in the wall that doesn't have a pot spawn. I believe on both east and west sides, if you take a right, then hug the wall to your left, the first or second room is safe to camp in.

Hello this is a very good post , i just hit 66 recently and boyadha tree seems to be a little lacking in xp for me not to mentioned its very crowded there sometimes.

If you dont mind excatly where can i camp in the jungles as stated in your wonderful post? . I normally create my own party and would not want to wander around the zone looking for the mobs to level on.

Thanks in advance

Great Post thanks a lot ^^

I remember another good camp in Bibiki Bay. The Goblin Angler camp down in the south at G-11. You can camp in the tunnle. Was good exp til 72 because of fast kills.

Hope this helps.
