Update - they just dropped the price from $30- $10, not enough people pre-registered I guess. Which is a great price for any Hallween party in SF. If you paid the higher price earlier, they'll actually refund the money too.

Here's a detailed agenda:

5:30PM - 9:30PM Dinner & Dance Floor Open -

5:30PM - 6:00PM FINAL FANTASY XI Music Trivia -

5:30PM - 9:30PM Pool Tables Available -

6:15PM - 6:30PM RAFFLE! -

6:30PM - 7:30PM FINAL FANTASY XI Online Event -

7:30PM - 8:30PM FINAL FANTASY Dance Music Mix -

8:00PM - 11:30PM FINAL FANTASY XI Game Freeplay -

8:45PM - 9:30PM Costume Contest -

8:45PM - 9:00PM RAFFLE! -

9:30PM - 12:00AM Square Enix Titles Sneak Peek -
Metreon action theater (2F).

So far, looke like about 6-7 people from my server registered. Come on, Gilgameshians, register to go! Hehe.

I'd absolutely go if I wasn't living in the Netherlands, Europe. A bit too far away. ^^

Well, my 2 week vacation is coming up and I'm planning on going to California to see my cousins play football. Unfortunately, my vacation starts November 7th. If it was announced 3 months ago, I would have planned to take my vacation earlier.

Also, I've noticed even in other posts for recommended places for parties, that everyone skips Phoenix, Arizona. Granted we aren't as big, but we are growing fast. Even our Air Force Base might have to go away since we're growing so fast. I'm just saying, if it were in Arizona, I wouldn't even need to take vacation to go!

Last point, I thought this was a party for NA's one year anniversary. If so, having one in Europe and Japan wouldn't make much sense. Europe will get their turn (should at least). But having parties across American and Canada would make more sense than one party on the west coast. In fact, everyone I know is either from the east coast or Canada.

This is classic, they want our input on their little RL events, but our endless plees to try to get them to fix certain aspects of the game, they do nothing. Classic lol

I guess being military and being stationed in Germany doesn't help me either.

Maybe if I had 5 or more months to plan leave around events like this I'd try going. But still Plane, Hotel, and Car rental expenses seem pretty steep.

what!!? i thought for sure alla would have representatives attending. But on a side note: when was the first we heard of this party. I think i heard of it 2 weeks ago max. if i would have know earlier i could have planned accordingly. maybe i spend to much time fishing and not enough time reasearching. ><

I would LOVE to go. However being a college student in Atlanta makes it pretty hard to go up to San Fransico. It would be cool if something big like this happened somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard.

I think it sounds like an awsome idea! My husband and I would go, but we only heard about it like a week ago or something. We have kids, so it's really not enough time to plan unfortunantly.
Plus.. we would really like to dress up, but on such short notice we can't.
Anyway, to those that are going, HAVE FUN!
btw.. distance isn't really a problem, we live in So.Cali.. pretty much just the amount of time given to prepare.

I'd love to go, but I live in Alabama (feel free to point and laugh if you want >.<). I'd go to one if one was held in, say, Atlanta, but theres no way I'm going clear across the country for this thing.

...very, very cool idea though >.>

If it were on the east coast I would go also. But i'm not going to use my vacation to go, Unless SE picks up the tab. :P

Oh damn, you're talking about the party in SF...

I think Square would be REAL wise in making this an annual event and try different cities. I know it would take enormous resources to make happen in multiple locations but they need to remember that Halloween isnt a national holiday so people who would really really love to go and do this wont be able to. At least make a good rotation of the top five or six cities and make sure you get a good mix of regions in doing so. It could be a real big thing =)

Someone mentioned a "FFXI Tour" somewhere in here.. I think THAT sounds like an excellent idea lol

Too bad it sounds like they might actually lose money on this though. If that happens then I wouldn't be surprised if they scratch any future ideas like this. >_<

I love the idea, but as usual the europeans get the shaft from Squaresoft.

Being very keen on cosplaying and all that (I actualy have a half-finnished BLM outfit already) I take this as a slap in the face for living in europe and not in the allmighty america (or japan) and apearently not (in their eyes) deserving of having any fun. Having to import the game from America was bad, this is horrible.
