There's a shop called The Marble Bridge in Upper Jeuno which will only allow you entrance on specific days based on race or job or allegiance.

Just one suggestion... a title bar. I have to open the slider on my Tungsten to switch views. ; ;

Other than that, it's great!

The Final Fantasy XI Timer for Palm has been updated with the revised Carpenters' Landing barge schedule and the Manaclipper schedule has been added.

Also a new feature has been added so that the left and right button on Palms with "5-way" controls with cycle through the different views.

Also the cities involved in the Ballista Detail should be corrected.

Wow, this is pretty handy!

This is probably asking too much, but do you have any plans to add a "todo" checklist and alarm features? That would make it really nice for serious gardeners...

Final Fantasy XI Timer for Palm has been updated to include crafting guild shop hours and locations. I also fixed a bug where the Palm would crash if the left or right bottons where pressed on the Time Adjustment page.

I suspect I'm missing some guild shop locations. I know there is one in Bibiki Bay, but I'm not sure if it is a fishing shop or some other kind. I think there is also a fishing store on the Mhaura/Selbina ship, but I not sure of its hours.

I'm also not sure of the Colour Chip Goblins all close on Firesday or only the San d'Oria one.

Thank you so much for continuing programming efforts on this. I had not seen it back in December. and it's GREAT!

Wish there was a way to "sticky" utilities such as these. :-/

You rule.

That being said, when this thing does everything that retail FFXI clock does (Or does it already?!) I'll be firing it up! I haven't touched my handheld since I quit needing to note work schedules and such.

I only skimmed the post, but I'm going to look more into this. This is something I've been wishing for, for quite a while now!

Post Update:
------------------------------------

Wow! This thing entirely replaces the retail clock! I sure hope not too many people wasted $40 on that clock, now that there's a program they can use to do it (provided they have even an older handheld.)

Final Fantasy XI Timer for Palm has been updated to include a view with crafting success calculation described by Purplenv.

It is by now probably the most capable timer for any platform.

The Final Fantasy XI Timer for Palm has been updated to include Element Info.

I also fix some bugs for pre PalmOS 3.5 support and it will now follow your palm preferences for displaying Earth time (for time separator and 24 hour or AM/PM).

Okay I am about to install this to my new palm (yes I can be a toys freak... Tungsten E2)

So far everything I have seen about this is great! Major rate up for you.

If you can ever get a gardening log and the skill cap calculator on it that would be great. Something like that Pocket PC one listed on your site.

First I've released a new version of Final Fantasy XI Timer for Palm with World Time that displays the current time from the Japanese, Pacific, Eastern and United Kingdom time zones and added the EXP chain countdown to the countdown timer.

It has been also updated to calculate Daylight Savings Time correctly for pre PalmOS 4.0 devices. If you had to adjust the time in the "Time Adjustment" for Daylight Savings Time, you'll have to take out the adjustment.

I'll see about adding a skill cap calculator with the skill chain calculator. I'll put the gardening log on my list. The features I add are coloured by how I play the game and what I need as a Black Mage.

I cannot port this to other OSes. It is written for the native PalmOS API and most of the work involves getting the interface right. It would be easier to start fresh then try to get this to work for other devices.

If you buy an old Palm III and Palm V the Final Fantasy XI Timer should work on it and you can buy those old devices on eBay for prices that may be conpetative with the offical Final Fantasy XI clock.

wow excellent piece of software

I dusted off my old palm Vx and installed it and its helping me alot. thank you thank you ^^

If you are open to taking suggestions on more features ^_^d
Hows about including a NM list on what lvl it is, which map, pos and items that are dropped from it.
Hows about a beatiary on weaknesses and strenths, what they aggro to and other info.
Ok one more lol Hows about the SC calculator when you enter the jobs, job lvls and weapons and it works out which SC are available and what MB is needed.

they are just suggestions. the software is awesome and most helpful already, keep up the good work ^^

Peace

I don't have a palm, but i couldn't help but read all the updates. A renkei calculator would be pretty sweet (unless I missed that in the update history?). Just put in the jobs/weapons that will be used in the renkei and you're set.

I also liked your suggestion for competitively priced retro palms as an alternative to the ultra-commercialized Vana'diel timer. (As we all know, something like that gets rarely updated/improved seeing as it's hardcoded.)

Rock on.

This thing absolutely RULES. I've yet to miss an airship I needed to catch, and it will surely come in handy when I start crafting and gardening again.

I'm currently working on a series of maps that are viewable on your Palm, nothing more than some bitmaps that have been modified to actually be visible on the tiny screens. Would anyone be interested in something like that?
#51 Apr 27 2005 at 8:25 AM Rating: Decent
What like area maps? That could be cool.

I'm still interested in seeing a Renkei (Skillchain) calculator for PalmOS that will let me input what weapons/levels our party is using, thus showing available skillchains.
