+=FFXI Ringtone and Wallpaper Cellphone WAP Portal=+Follow

Heard some rumors that Sprint had disabled the save options..

I mean if you can HEAR it playing at least thats a start, once there, hit menu or so and look for "Store" or "Save".

Sometimes thats how you can save it if its playing or loaded. Otherwise there is no "DL" link cause its supposed to do that or give options once your phone loaded it and showed or played it.

Not sure HOW to increase midi volume.. I mean I know you can with WAV files.. but Midi is just notes.. I have no clue how to make them louder.. if anyone else does let me know and Ill reconvert them.

The only way I'd think to fix this is to use a MIDI sequencer to turn up the velocity (volume of a note in MIDI) of each note. If I can scrounge up my old copy of Cakewalk, I'd be willing to bump the songs up a bit for ya ^_^

Hello Hello!

I wanted to first say great Idea! Next I am having a slight problem with downloading files. I can access the site on my phone through the HTML version but it doesn't seem to be working right. When I click on a link I get the error "Web page was outdated and has been updated" and i hit ok and it takes me back to the home page. This basicly happenes when I am scrolling through the ringtones. I even tried to go straight to a file and it gave me the error. Any thoughts?

thanx

With any phone issues, you need to say what phone and carrier it is so I can try to answer quickest.

Anyways, Cell phones itself shouldnt be using the HTML version, you should be loading the wap version at http://wap.darkmystics.com as that is designed for cell phones, same content. Actually more there.

As for the midi volume.. DOH! I shouldve known that... great say! I know that would REALLY help me on my 3650 as well hehe... rings are low as it is.

Hey there - I don't know if you're still updating this site, but...

Well, I shared the site with my LS a while back and I finally got a phone that is capable of downloading things (Motorola V3C or whatever model number it is - the "Razr"). I tried to download things but...the site loads and I can see the file names, but whenever I click on them a screen that looks like a file player loads but doesn't actually appear to load the file - the player still sits at like time 00:00/00:00, and the only menu options I get have to do with the "Get Flix" feature of the phone. Any ideas as to why I can't get this to work? (or ideas on a workaround or something?)

Any thoughts appreciated!

Bump, Fyi, Added couple new tones. In FFXI part.. I forgot Sandy >.< Sorry.. its there now. In normal ringtones, I added some FF based ones.

Fyi.. "Fanfare2.mid" is the Final Fantasy AC ringtone from the movie. If you wanted one like that.. go for it. =D

Will add more FF based ones soon. =)

I think this is a wonderful thing you've got going on, however I'm on Verizon and I use a Motorolla V3C which they've disabled anyway to download free content.

I can pull the images up, I can "receive" the midi (though it doesn't actually play any sound. The problem is, i don't get an option to save any of the pictures of ringtones :(

But mad props on putting this WAP up.

Bumping.

Looking to add new ToAU items, Midi, flags, misc pictures and so.

Trying to see what else to add, plus let others know this is here and still working for your cell phone desires..

Notice the HTML version would need to be updated again.. really outta date. The WAP version has SOOOO much more. =D

Ok fyi, I have added a few more FFXI Midis to the list! =DDDD

Sarutabaruta and The Vanadiel March being 2 of the more major ones. =D

I will be working on my site AND wap portal page over the next 2 days to try to organize it some, seperate normal ringtones from video game ones, add some more RPG ones, Suikoden and couple more FF series. (Even tho I DID add alot more from FF7 and FF8 in the normal ringtone setcion.

I DID update the 1st posts "Html" access for ringtones a "tad" I didnt add them all that can be found in the WAP page version as thats where I try to keep all my content! =D

However.. in my next site update, I will unlock the FFXI section of it for HTML viewers so you can get them easier, while the rest.. Ill just keep WAP only. =)

Anyways, rem ToAU flag is posted too, still waiting on midi files to appear.

Seems my site is like one of the only ones that has a huge collection of FFXI midis.. Every other major FF site I saw only had a small collection of files.. odd.. anyways.

Any suggestions or praise/hate let me know. This way over the next couple days while I am working on things I can try to get more up. =)

absolutely everything I tried to get I got the message

"Error: Server returned unsupported content type: image/jpeg."

or

"Error: Server returned unsupported content type: image/gif."

or

"Error: Server returned unsupported content type: sound/midi."

So is my phone just craptastic and I should stop? or is there something that can be done?

If you noticed, this was one of my orig posts before I was a paying member, (No Princess title)

This WAS excellent back in the day... however then came a karma troll war and couple users were karma bombing EVERYONE.. although they were taken care of, the post normally gets pushed back and just didnt get recovered, but in the next couple days I will be working on my website more, adding more content, fixing the wap page to look cleaner, combind the "Final Fantasy" sections on the main menu to one link with sub folders inside.

Then add more Ringtone sub sections for normal and video games.

As for LG phones or people on Verizon and Sprint.. The carriers themselves disabled ALOT of outside access.. to prevent people from saving the files or playing them. Which yea.. means you need a new phone. However even on ones that will work.. sometimes they lock it so you cant save it. Nothing "I" can do about it.

T-mobile and Cingular and GPRS/WAP carriers from overseas with GSM phones should be fine for "sure"

CDMA networks.. it varies on the phone you have and the service plan.

All I can do is keep updating and hope for the best for you all. However.. I will make a html version for FFXI itself.. this way for those with data cables can add it that way.

However any suggestions, make em now while im working on things.

Then again, I can't access anything at the moment, so i'll wait a bit and try later.

Still, woot!

Ok update: SLOWLY working
http://ffxi.darkmystics.com

I moved the HTML FFXI content to
http://ffxi.darkmystics.com/downloads/media so you CAN least get them via PC.

Also Opera.. Opera.. I know on the WAP content (Not HTML one) had: The_Wedding_Waltz_Duel_Part_A.mid However.. I did notice that I was missing some and since its a request, it is now added all parts, and versions to the "ringtones" section of the wap site only till I get around to seperating "Game" music from normal. Also added Kefka and Blackjack Airship to the mix as well.

Prob will Seperate Final Fantasy Period and add it all into one new setcion. Once I do, Ill edit 1st post and the wap.shtml page.

Rem ALOT of you need to pay for internet via phone services.. otherwise it may not work. T-Mobile is 5.99$ a month, Cingular is per kb or package plans. Everyone else.. depends on carrier. Plus IF phone will do it! Again, Ill say it, I cant help "everyone" because ALOT of it is phone/carrier based.. thats why least FFXI content Ill host via HTML, if I unlock the ENTIRE database thats accessed via wap, I would have alot of bandwitdh being used.. from people on google etc.. not worth it. =p

Just trying to offer direct content to phones etc, since FFXI content for cell phones is hard.. much less a decent free wap site. =)

More updates coming on my main LS site and wap pages. Soon expect the Final Fantasy content to be in a seperate section and all just linked inside of it! =)I try to keep the page as simple as I can so most wap browsers can access it.

Also about the 4-channel phones.. not much I can do about that.. some midis will work.. others wont.. I cant convert them all etc.

Edit: So I dont double posts, major update. I have now converted the Final Fantasy into its own section.. took me a few mins to learn how to setup a dir browse within a dir.. but figured it out with the conf. So all good there.

Browsing for FFXI or normal Final Fantasy Content is now easier! Ringtones for normal FF are in their own folder now and labeled by the game they are from. Hopefully should help you browse more. Be on the look out as in the "ringtone" section I will soon change it to be based off video games or normal. =D

Just trying to do alot of work here.. once its done, Ill edit my shtml page, then followed by 1st post.

However for those who READ last update posts will get the head start into this. =D

This is such a cool idea, you rock for doing this! Unfortunately, my phone/service must not be working.

I have cingular, samsung x427m phone. I'm able to get into your website with my wap browser, and select the song I want, but when I go to download it, i get a "Server Error" message. I'm so pissed about it! I called Cingular to see if there was something wrong with my account, and they couldn't help me because your site isn't a "cingular approved" site. Argh! So other than that, no idea why I can't download YOUR files... I have done it elsewhere fine. Just have to pay the kb transfer. Oh well. I almost had Vanadiel March on my phone. >< Now I can't have a "l33t" phone. =P

try a smaller named file, see if it works, if it does, maybe its that "one" file that has a issue, which case let me know so I can check it fully.

Any bugs that might be webiste related just let me know.
