Thank you so much for this guide! I've been stuck at lvl 27 worm for so long! I switched to crawler just to make time go by faster. I finally have something to do with worm again!

Man, Worm is so gimp ever since KB nerfed their aggro/link combo. Only a newb would level Worm. You will never get to endgame PC's, and you will never have your artifact loot. Stick to dropping copper ores because that is the only thing that worms are good at. You have 1 good BCNM, thats it! Above thirty you will be waiting for aggro invites for days.

Worms are SO GIMP!

I've been leveling Bird, and gave up worm after I had to stay still for so long. It's so much easier being killed when you can fly right in the way of a running PC and **** them off by making them stop on you for a second. Hopefully I can open up Behemoth advanced job once I get high enough :)

Sorry to go off-topic, but I had an experience the other day I'd like to share.

I was leveling my 24WRM/12LCH (I sub Leech for Drainkiss, I know it's not cookie-cutter but I like it) the other day in Korroloka when a BST came by and charmed someone in my party! We didn't even notice until Leroy (23WRM/11SPI) started casting Stonega on us! Geez, you'd think he'd have the courteousy to tell us he was charmed. Do you guys ever have problems with noobs as your link partners?

After they nerf cralwer next patch I think I'm going to swich to worm, goblin costs to much and rarab is boring. I never really thought about worm though.

i tried to solo to 15 as big mouth billy but the wait time was just too long..

also kuftal is not a bad place to level either though all the crabs get the attention there.

however after awhile i just deciede to go the bunny route they seem to have more places to level (though crab and crawler jobs are in abundance)

rarab is only boring from 10-15, because after that, they actually want to fight you sometimes in valk. and I completely agree with gob. they may level really fast, but their basically required to drop so much! I can hardly pay for all those lightning and fire crystal.

Yeah. That's the nice thing about rabbit. All you have to drop are earth crystals, and the occasional meat and hide; all of which are really cheap. The downside though is that after about level 12 the only people who want to kill you are BSTs. I was stuck as a level 60 Variable Hare in Uleguerand Range for 6 weeks before I was finally able to go to Cape Terrigan and Boyahda Tree as a Beach Bunny or Moss Eater at 62.

Don't get me started on BSTs! I was levelling as a Rabbit in Valkurm when suddenly a BST came to me. I was glad as not many parties target us in Valkumr and was looking forward to gaining some exp. What does he do? He charms me; not only that, but he familars. Yes, that's right 30 minutes only getting the 30% exp from the mobs that the BST killed. Not only that but he was killing them much more slowly than I would usually get killed. That kind of thing really pisses me off.

I've been leveling Mandragora lately. It's a good alternative to Worm. You get a lot of nifty specials (PCs HATE being slept!) and a really popular BCNM. Unfortunately, it slows down big-time endgame because players are afraid of your Ancient Magic.

ya, thats the downside of Mandragora. Endgame mandragorans should slow down with their AM they would actually get xp faster.

If 2+2=5 and the answer is 7 than do i go right or left to get to the final boss?

Trick question. If the answer really is 7 then to get to the final boss you have to back track to the last block puzzle room and take the secret exit.

You could try spawning as a NM placeholder. That sometimes works if there's a good NM around your level.

I am The Magical Phony!

A Guide to Levelling Wyrm

...You're a freaking wyrm, just wait for PC's to stumble upon you, and then waste them! Great PC ambushing places include large cavernous areas like Gustav Tunnel and Korroloka Tunnel; Attohwa Chasm; and of course, Dragon's Aery. You can also hide in King Ranperre's Tomb and hope some unwitting PC snoops around where you're hiding, and then draw them in when they least expect it coming.

The best part about levelling wyrm - you only have to level a few hours a day at most. The PC's come to you, and you're pretty much guaranteed to take out a few of them before they take you down, so you'll always gain great exp.

...Nay.

I've always toyed with the idea of being an NM... I know the spawn time to be killed is a long time, but sometimes I have to wait that long anyway. And at leats thn I don't have to put up with those nweb NPCs who run around everywhere, link, and kill the only party around, extended the wait time even longer.

I'm putting off levelling my LIZ in the dunes for that reason alone; god I hate the dunes... half the parties there can't even kill me properly!

That's why you should spawn as place holders instead. People will still kill you as soon as you pop but your respawn time is a LOT shorter.

the thing is, usually while being a place holder, someone else spawns as the NM before you are able to change and spawn yourself.

I know but sometimes even that doesn;t working. I levelled my LIZ up to level 8 or 9 (I can't remember exactly, it was awhile back.) in S. Gustaberg at the LL spawn, but occasionally I would still have to wait awhile; that Lizzy never has to wait more than 5 seconds to get claimed. Anyway, I might just suck it up and level LIZ again; at least i'm out ofn the Konschtat Highlands phase; thank god for farmers or I never would have levelled.

But after I get out of the dunes where should I level LIZ?

well, valk is good from 10-23, after that, a good place to go is Yhoater jungle, because all those whm's need the drop for Tele-yhoat. They come pretty often, just make sure not to spawn close to all those PC's fighting mandies, because they avoid you as much as they can.
