These links do work. I just tried them again. I use Firefox and after clicking on the link I get the page you mentioned (the error page). At that point if I hit the 'Go' button it will load the image correct, but if I hit refresh it will not.
I am using Internet Explorer 6, the standard for Windows XP, and nothing I do with the URLs will net me that page, I tried go, copy+paste, open link in new window, save link as shortcut; then clicking on the shortcut. I am going to download the FireFox browser and see if I can view it that way as you are. If I am, I will load these to my site, and you can reference them there so people who use IE6 (most people) can view it too ... Still love this post, I've been on it all day! /cheer x3

I tried going to those links today using IE and found that the same things did not work to get them to view, however by backtracking I was able to get the pages to load.

Here's how:
1. Click on one of the links to open it.
2. Delete the skill1.gif or skill2.gif from the url and go to that page.
3. Go slightly down the page to the table that starts out "Studio Gobli" and click on the last link in the table (it will show http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Part/6371/skill.html when you place the mouse over it.
4. Scroll down the page ever so slightly and click on the link that shows [Japanese Symbol] 1 or [Japanese Symbol] 2.

Note: You may be able to go directly to http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Part/6371/skill.html and click on the appropriate link without doing the rest of the stuff.

I just made a sticky request, and we're not getting one. >< However, this thread can still be submitted as a guide.

That sucks they'd rather keep this crappy sticky where hardly any of the links work.

I just PMed Pikko to see if it could be made into guide, hopefully it will be accepted. As for this,

yea, links on the sticky are
  • going to return a 404 error
  • not work because page went over allowed bandwidth
  • going to require some obscure codec

That worked, and for the sake of making your post as easy as possable, I have moved the pictures to my site:

    Skill Up Chart 1

    Skill Up Chart 2

So you can update your links to work directly ^^

Wow, wicked stuff, definite rate up!

If I could suggest something however. For the Dragoon section Ikonic, you have a plain equipment guide. As awesome as that is, it's simply not enough info to correctly inform about the diversities of our job! (Solo'ing, which melee sub, what food, etc, etc).

I highly recommend that you sub out the Equipment link, and post This Link for anything and everything to do with Dragoons. If ever there was a thread to cover dragoon information, that would be it!

But again, awesome job. I need to bookmark this

The reason I only have the links I do is because these are the links I used for researching the jobs when I played them. You might notice there are no links for DRK and RNG for the simple fact that I have never researched them.

However, after getting certain replies I'm more than willing to edit my original post and include other links for a more complete guide. If you have any other links that you think should be included please reply here or send me a PM.

    Thanks.

If you have one that you'd like added send me a PM or reply to this thread and I'll see what I can do. So far I've not added any other links due to some RL stuff that's preventing me from having much time, but I do hope to go through and update this thread soon with some new information that I've found as well as various links that have been suggested to me.
