5th tier Great Axe is supposed to be the Twicer (31 GA made from the Voulge). And no, Luto will not accept HQ weapons. I found that out the hard way when I asked someone in my LS to make a Hydro Axe for the 3rd upgrade and she wouldn't accept it.

You're at the wrong ??? spot in Jugner. You need to go through KRT to get to the lake area, then search for the ??? right on the water's edge.

Where can I get the 5(?) course meal for the quest?

What does luto say when you talk to her? Perhaps the Blighted Gloom quest and the Regaining Trust quests are conflicting when you have to talk to Luto.

RambustheRDMtaru i had the same problem, i think its a bug, i tried a few different things and nothing worked, so i went to bed last night, this morening i checked luto and she gave me the CS, so maybe just give it some time.

Just for the record- your NPC does not have to mention the promy quest when you pick the 'lets talk about quests' option to actually do it.. I've been asking her for a week and nothin, so i just went to check promy out, and was able to do it.

Your NPC switching to starting gear has absolutely nothing to do with affinity. The gear swaps are completly random. It's still up in the air as to whether or not your NPC dieing even effects afinity in the first place.

My friend Trahaearn has not had his NPC die a single time, yet she has shown up with the lvl 1 RSE on occasion.
I have had my NPC die several times, but I actually have higher affinity with my NPC, I've recieved quests and gotten extra headgear options before him. I've also summoned my NPC more times than Trahaearn, which is why I have higher affinity to begin with.

The only thing proven to lower NPC affinity is dropping your Signal Pearl and asking the NPC for a new one. (So far it seems there is no problem with dropping the Tactics Pearl)
And the only proven effects of lowered affinity are, headgear options being taken away and more time needed to get quests.

Dunno if it has been mentioned yet, but my npc now has the option below headgear "Fashionable Equipment." I choose a body location and she wont change that location when I call her out next time. So if you npc switches to something neat looking, you can make them not change it again.

If you do a promy run for tactics pearl, and want max exp pts, kill all mobs BEFORE you click on the ???.

I went today, went straight for the ???, got it, and decided to keep killing.

My time ran out and he said he had to go. I went to the rendezvous point in Jeuno, but did not get a pearl. It seems you have to end the mission after you find the ??? to get the exp pts and pearl.

Do I have to wait a game day or a RL day to retry the promy run? No one has really stated which yet.

Can retry after JPN midnight.

So to complete the quest you need to end it by clicking on a ???

So, if you run for say the 3rd floor, and don't get it, I am guessing, from this account, that you will not complete the quest?

The would make a run for the 4th floor very risky IMO, with anything less then 9 PC's, and 9 NPC's.

Anyone reached the C. Capers quest yet ? O.o

The reversion dust is a key item. It isn't actually sold. You go to Boyzt's Knicknacks and are told to go to windurst to pick up the dust where it originates from.

A more complete Writeup for the quest:

After talking to Luto and finding out about the dilemma of her friend being trapped in a costume, you are sent to Ru'Lude Gardens to find out what is wrong with the costume.

Talk to Muhoho at Ru'Lude Gardens on the Balcony of the Palace for a cutscene. You are sent to Boyzt's Knicknacks in Bastok Mines to purchase some reversion dust.

Talk to the Galka at the front of the shop for another cutscene with our poor costumed friend who has assumed a new form. You will be told to go to Windurst to buy the Reversion Dust directly from the source.

In Windurst Waters, visit Chamama at the Rarab Tail Holstery and talk to her for another Cutscene with our yet again transformed friend.

With the Dust in hand, head to Luto in Upper Jeuno and you will be told to look for our missing costumed friend in Delkfutt Tower.

Enter Delkfutt Tower and take the first right. In the second goblin room you will see a ??? mark. Use that for a Cutscene. Continue down this path until you reach the end of the large room with the Gigas and you will see another ??? mark. Return to the first ??? by the goblins and prepare to fight an Illusory Pot.

After the fight, you are given the key item: Costume Kit, and your choice of Tactics Manual (only one, rare only so it can be traded).

When you return to a Rendezvous Point, your NPC will ask to read the Manual and learn a new Combat Style.
