I've seen a party my brother was in pull VE once. They had a PL and managed to live, albiet barely. No drop either.

Lets see...

There was the guy in selbina we thought was a broken bot at first because every time he went to fish his macro said "CTRL 5" in say. He then explained to us what a macro was.


Then there was the time my friend Trap died in Temple of Uggalepih and he asked this rmt that was poking him named Flydance to get him a raise. The rmt quickly returned with a thief and then pointed to Trap and said "Raise Trap" the theief naturaly confused replied with "???." Flydance then said "You no whm" and the theif said "..." and returned to camping his knife. By the time I was done laughing Trap had got a raise and weakness had worn.


There was the time my friend Jayse and I tried to duo the "Wings of Furry" bcnm as beasts.

Cookiemonster is defeated by Colo-Colo

(Jayse) It's not over yet

He then used a scroll of reraise

and deleveled to 19

at that point, he ran off. I was trying to be nice, but he couldn't PL me in any helpful way. He couldn't cure me or anything. Oh well. I learned early (thanks to guy who screamed at me for like ten min over "OVER WRITING" his Pro 3 with my Pro 1 (Which can't be done I am told here). I definately didn't want to be rude since I was wearing some lame lvl 1 gear and looked very newbish.

Heh, I was disbanding parties and this particular two things made me chuckle.

1: I was the party leader and I told everyone I was going to leave in about 20 minutes, I tried to get some adequate replacements but no one else was on. I asked who wanted to be leader and this mithra archer points towards the hill lizard and says. "The Hill lizard should be the leader, he is so powerful he has a instant revive rate" lol.

2: When I first started to log out I was playing around with the whm and he said something about being 6 Ranks higher than me and I said he coulda have been his account. He then said what Gil seller sells his account and doesn't even include a level 75 character. I just lol'd as I turned off my 360. I been in that party for 6 hours and I have to say, even with only 1 level up, is that that was one of the best parties I had since I came back to FF XI

This elvaan blm had joined my party as a lvl 10 or lvl 11 newb. He had on no + INt +Mp +anything really. Me and my friend started /telling each other about it and we decided to bring it up with him. The blm said he didn't want to waste any money at this level and he had 100 something k. I told him that was not gonna work at all, especially for a elvaan black mage. He said he was gonna go Solo his blm to 15. The party lol'ed at him and began to say Blm's can't solo in lvl 1 equipment like yours. He sat down for a while then did /em Wishes the whole party dies and logged out lol.

I had possibly the worst party earlier in Garlaige. We barely scrape through four Siege Bats before we trudge to Sauromuge to try Weapons. Aside from the moaning and whining about how we MUST do Garlaige, we kill a few weapons before I had had enough of their bickering. I called it quits and decided to just take a break.

I had such high hopes, the party looked good, plus they were all high ranks, so figured they'd have some intelligence.

/sigh

Level 10 blm, first character ever, zoned into canyon:

"A rabbit! I only need one more hare meat to finish my stack!"
*attacks rabbit*

....and then I learned what a home point was.

This was a while ago, maybe two years ago, on my second trip through the dunes, after getting sub job.

We had a good party, and we were all in the 19/20 range, when one of the guys suggests moving to Qufim. I had never been there, so I followed one of my party mates. I was in awe of the areas, Pashow, and Rolanberry were so frightening.

We make it to Jeuno unscathed, I set my HP in Lower Jeuno, and then the party decides to disband. I have no idea where I am, but I remember the way back. I am running back, and proceed to die two or three times, falling back to level 18. I started cursing the party in my head, as I thought I was going to de-level back to 1, before I ever made it back to San'doria.

Then my friend, who was watching me play, say's "Wait, didn't I see people shouting for teleports?"

And so I got my very first teleport Holla. (thank goodness I had gotten my crystal, or I would probably still be there.)

I got a few. About a week ago now, we had a party of think 4 guys. Me, the WHM, a PUP, a WAR and some other basic melee job(either monk or thief). We were in Qufim, the worm area around the lake. The WAR is of course the "tank". We were all about lvl 20, so we could kill the worms and crabs for decent experience. I would sit back and slap silence on worms that popped up too close to the party to keep them from using stone or even worse, stonega. Worked pretty well, except for the 1 major problem, I drew pretty heavy hate at the end and usually got rasped. Normally not a big deal, just a little longer to wait to get mp back. Unfortunately the tank was rather impatient and would start attacking the next worm before I even had 3/4 mp. That generally meant that I had to stop healing early to cast a silence or two so the stonegas don't wipe everyone out.
A little bit later, we were all in red after 2 worms that were side by side and I was rasped again. Our tank got the brilliant idea to attack another one with about 120 hp and I had about 35 mp to try to heal everyone with. The worm killed think it was 3 of us. So we say fine, figured maybe he hadn't seen me say I was still rasped. After the next worm, its getting to be night and a bogy spawned right next to us while we were healing. Of course, us 3(the smart ones) get up and run to a safe spot before its aggro comes active. Of course the tank decides that the last 25 hp are more important than getting to safety and he sits there, right until it aggros him and absolutely slaughters him. I mean he never even got a chance to stand up from the first hit. End of story right? no. It suddenly turned on all of us who had run away to what had been a safe area. Realizing that it would probably link with the others, I sent the rest of the party back to the area where everyone gathers normally by the tunnel, while I stay back and try to keep it busy while they get some distance(knew they had a pretty good chase distance). It kills me with 2 hits and then proceeds to chase down the rest of the party. The PUP managed to get away with less than 50 hp left.

You only need level 30 for PLD at lowest.

Thief gets TA at 30, and don't go crazy with it until 33.
Around that time, it is not uncommon to not have a thief in your PT until after 33, and it is not uncommon to now have a thief in the PT if you don't have a ninja tanking.

me and 4 ppl from ls decided to go do 5-2 the other day so we go to the fight we are kickin its *** everyones going full out im talking spamagaV kinda stuff we watch its hp fall to 0 when everyone is cheering and (good job!)ing eachother when it come back as second version and kills us all v.v. damn you galkas its you who are the dark lords you must kill yourselves to save Vanadiel before its too late and i have to ^^

(disclaimer: the threat was of a joking nature and i nor any of my characters have any problem with the race of galkans please dont eat tarus and scare the children anymore thank you)
