Dunes of course.
This is the saying that scared me.
"The book says we can take it."
We are a 17ish party, and the leader was said that. I was the only one woth a sub, and said we couldnt. Bogys are way beyond our level at this point. The response I got was, "together were over 70. Well, before I could disband I was dead.
This is the saying that really pissed me off.
"The book said we could kill it."
I should burn the damn book.

Or make the idiot read it more carefully. Five will get you ten the "book" was referring to Bogys in the Buburimu Peninsula, which are five levels lower. Parties of your level can indeed take Bogies in Bubu, if they're careful (and they drop one of the subjob items for Mhaura, Bloody Robe). In Valkurm, well, not so much.

I played the games 3 years ago and during this period, im farming in the west sarutaru with my PLD lvl 43 and hunt for spool of silk thread someting like that and my fun was to train the yagudo and brings back to the main entrance for see whats the people reaction. Thats so funny, people thought i was in danger and tried to kill the yagudo but they were kill...Damm this game miss me so much...

So, I spotted Bloodtear Baldurf, called Courier Carrie, and kneeled to get some MP. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a thief appeared on a chocobo, jumped off, and engaged, what he thought a Battering Ram (?).
Maybe, for a moment, he felt satisfaction when he did win the claim, but after 5 seconds I read a "WTF", and after further 5 seconds he was ... dead (he was lev 30).
The moral is: greed brings its own punishment or always check the mob.

I had like 4 hours left when a friend asked me if I wanted to do a ks and I said sure why not. We were 5/6, figured we would find the 6th pretty quick, well turned out that we didn't. 2 hours later still 5/6, I was running out of time, then yay we found a blm for 6th. We were ready to head out around npc, just waiting on blm (who had to mule and stuff for like 20 min), anyways she finally shows up, then:

Yes, the lvl 30BLM is whining about forgeting a instant warp scroll...my LS laughs themselves silly and reminds me I am a BLM...I say "So"....then remind me of Warp. We still laugh about that one.

Here's one that I was ashamed came from a Rank 10. I was leveling my THF in dunes (my main is BLU btw, so I know how the job is played) and I invite a Rank 10 BLU to fill the last gap in the party. Now, not only does she only TWO of the like 20 spells BLU has access to at that level, but they are among the most useless ones at that. We are getting annihilated by Bomb Toss at this point, and I ask if she can Head Butt the gobs to stop the toss seeing as Head Butt is one of the most essential BLU spells.
(Me) BLU do you have Head Butt? If you do please use it to stop Bomb Toss.
(Her) No I don't have it.
And here's the killer...
(Her) And why would I want to stop it I still need to learn Bomb Toss.

Ooh. I got one. I've been soloing in Ru'Aun Gardens on Flamingo to try and cap my Shield skill on WHM. Tu'Lia has been under Bastok control, so I wear my Rep.Gold Medal there (I'm from Windurst). Some noob WAR checks me and sends me a /tell:

Leveling WHM in Caedarva Mire last 6k until 70, should be an easy hour, maybe 1.5 right? Before we leave Whitegate I tell everyone to snag at least a stack of Echos. Because those Imps spam Silience.

So this is thursday night
I am lvling my WHM and im lvl 10, So I throw up my flag to see if i can snag some invites up at the dunes. After about 10mins I get a tell
guy: Hey do you need party?
me: sure where at?
guy: come to dunes
me: sure
so no invite comes and i keep my flag up
guy 2: hey do you want pt?
me: no i got one.
guy 2: ok...
so 20mins pass and i get no tell from the first guy...
so i tell the second guy back
me: do you still need me?
guy 2: yeah
guy 2 sends invite
so i join the party and start heading to camp and the puller grabs a goblin and the all die b4 i even get to camp. So after a while in pt chat, do you have raise?
me: no... im lvl 10
i am now having second thoughts about this
randomguy in pt: try casting cure on us
i call for rasie and disband pt.
Finally guy 1 tells me
guy 1: Ok im at rabao be there shortly
me: ok im waiting
guy 1: to ride the ship is it a fame thing or were do i get a boarding pass...
me: omfg...
guy: im lvling my mule, i just cant remember
me: you got on the wrong ship i think try again
guy 3: Pt?
me: i guess
join party
