So I'm in Altepa Desert lvling BLM for sub. My main is whm.
Our party leader decides that we need to take on a dhalmel "just to see if we can do it." I'm a little leery about it, but party agrees and thf pulls a dhalmel. It is immediately apparent that this isn't going to work, as the mob was whooping the crap outta us. When we're all pretty close to death, the whm Benedictions, then RUNS AWAY! Dhalmel chases after him, makes quick work of him and then comes back to punish us a little more. The entire party ended up wiping. Then in pt chat, I see this:
(whm) WTF?
(whm) I didn't hit it, why did it come after me?
(ldr) It came after you because you did Benediction.
(whm) Yeah but I didn't hit it!

How do you get whm to 30ish without noticing that you don't have to hit the mob to get hate....?

I had the same thing happen between fights in one of the jungles everyone was half or in the orange after fight, I curaga and reply I get was, "You know cure cost less mp what a waste of MP" Funny thing is I did it so they could pull again right away, so they all stand there like idiots waiting for my MP to top off and I was just speechless...
Same group another interesting story not sure a noob one but I'll share it anyway and ya still in the jungle.
One member says last pull I have to go...(Im whm obviously)
Puller pulls an IT++ gob and they go to town I start throwing a few cures they take the gob down pretty quick when a second pops up right behind us and agro's still no biggie it's IT++ also and I'm thinking ok we can do this plenty of mp yet of course gob gets a bomb off and takes all the members but me down to 1/2 and lower I'm spaming cures and it dies now...
One of them pulls another gob right away for some odd reason again IT++ at this point I'm like ok plenty of drinks left I can keep the MP going and wouldn't you know it everyones about dead along with the gob(except myself) and the other gob pops again right behind me so now I know we are dead then it occurs to me I have access to bind so I bind him and run to the other side of party continue healing.
All the while the bind held just long enough for them to finish the 3rd gob. Now they are all but dead and I can't spam heal fast enough and then it hit's me a way out of this mess.
Me: Cast benidiction take all the hate
Me: Binds the gob
Party: wacks it for a while
Gob: unbinds goes for me (stangly still has hate on me)
Me: Bind again
Gob: Turns to party and throws bomb they are all in red.
Me: Curaga
Gob: Hates me again unbinds.
Me: Oh %^&( no more MP
Me: run in circles around the party
Party: waits for me to come full around the circle then intercepts the gob and kills gob. (Lucky we had a ranger in the group)
Me: No one dies and I'm thinking wow that was an awsome idea it worked
perfectly!
Party: Don't ever use benidiction like that ever again!
Me: What? It worked I knew it would the whole time! (lie)

I'm A WHM and I'm not into PLing people. Its rare that I PL people, but I usually do it for LS mates that doesn't bug me every two seconds. XD
I was strolling in the dunes, with no /anon on >.> I was doing a bit of that long quest for Selbina, I get a tell from this player.
Player>Excuse me?
Me> Yes
Player>Cud u plz PL me...I'll pay!

Today I was shouting for the lvl 60 cap quest, my HP is in Whitegate and won't change, so I won't take that 15min boat ride. I was shouting with my flag up this player tells me.
Player>Teleport-Dem 5k?
Me>I'm sorry. I'm trying to do something for myself. Really Important.
Player> K...

I get a next tell...
Player>Do you want to exp party?
Me> No.
(I have my search comment about 60 cap quest...with a pink dot!)

few minutes later I /sea player, turns out Player was a lvl 40. I'm just 20higher levels than him. Hell no! By the time your level 40 you don't really need a PLer....
I was in the yhoat, and a LS mate asks me on the shell...

Me>Skilling up my staff.
LSPlayer>Oh, can you tele me to desert?
Me>Okay. I'm fighting a bee at the moment....

I was camping orctrap probably like last week or something when a level 30 something RDM with no sub is wondering around. she explains she's lost so I help her find the tunnel. Give her directions through and she's off. Next thing she asks is where this will take her and I explain Jugner where she came from...

Also when I first started I actually thought you had to be a certain level before going to certain places haha, like you couldn't even get into the zones without getting that high enough level.

About two weeks ago, as I was chatting to my LS, in the healing position, as I was getting ready to log...
Player>Can you help me?
Me>What?
Player>Can you PL me in Zehrun mines?
Me>No, I'm logging in 4 minutes

I told my shell about it...

I remember when i first started i saved up all my gil to buy a Great Axe with higher DMG(I was WAR using only the starting sword). I got the gil, bought the Great Axe and equipped it. Fought a couple fights and said "WTF i hit for the same damage as my sword?!"
Then came to realize weapon skill level effect damage output >__>
And i remember the first time i logged on, i didn't know how to logout(PS2). I kept on temp-logging out and was like wtf? haha
This one also gave me a laugh:

I was farming Bee Hive Chips in Giddeus, and I was alone there for about an hour. A level 25 thief/ninja comes in and starts running around. I notice he doesn't kill anything, as is always coming into a part of the area just as I'm leaving it. After going all the way around, he finally sends me a tell
Noob: If you don't stop farming bee's I swear I'll call a GM on you for RMTing.
Not funny I know, but since I didn't answer him, he kept following me around saying he was still going to do it.

Some new ones that came with the Harvest Festival. I was looking for a partner to do Pitchfork +1 and was /shouting the following every now and then:
"Anybody with normal Pitchfork want to get Pitchfork +1 with me, /tell if interested!"
Shortly after I get this /tell:
Player>> I'm interested how do we do it.
I explain trading sweets to certain mobs with Pitchfork equipped and so on.
Player>> I don't have Pitchfork.
Me>> Well you need it to get +1, that's why in my shout I asked for people that have it.
Player>> How do you get it then.
Me>> You get a partner and stand under the balloons with a certain combination of costumes, look on Allakhazam or something for the combinations I'm too busy to research them for you.
Player>> How do I get a costume.
Me>> Trade a sweet to one of the Trick NPCs or any other NPC in costume.
Player>> Where do I get the sweet.
Me>> Any sweet is fine just buy them from the AH or someones bazaar or something.
Player>> Can you give me some sweets.
Me>> No.
Not so funny by itself, but when you consider that a had this same conversation like three times before...
EDIT: Remembered one more of mine. So I'm trying to get from BLM19 to BLM20 just to sub for WHM, which is less than one level really. I decide since 19 is still Dunes I don't really need to buy new armor seeming as it's only half a level and my rings/earrings/wand are all up-to-date. So I cobble together the best gear I can manage out of things I already have, which turns out to be a Pumpkin Head, Yukata, Swim Trunks, and of course my Mentor flag so they think I know what I'm doing since I look pretty darn rediculous. I get an invite right away, and say to myself that I better play really well in this party so they look past my gear.
On the way to the party I get a Gob's attention, so I polielty ask the party if I should bring my gob over to them since they're closer than the zone. Well I reach the party, /wave and turn my camera to see not one but three goblins approaching. I spam the party with "OMG I'm so sorry I don't usually do that I was sure I had only passed one."
I just can't stop thinking about what the party was thinking when they saw a Pumkin Head/Yukata/Swim Trunks wearing guy run over with three gobbies in tow.

I was in the Dunes recently with my white mage and basically I got this desperate tell from a newish (i'm guessing) player:
Player: HELP! Rescu me!
Me: No

The n00b thing is the fact he was oblivious to the fact that he has a really gimp subjob and took it as offense that I didn't want to party.
What's worse is he is a level 65 Dragoon and should understand why I don't want to party. I know this as he always sends me tells when I'm on Ninja to party.
Since I've been black listed at least I wont get that no more.

Another story,My old friend's one.
He is menter of my WHM,always doing great.
Shortry after Zilart,he decided to make second charactor.
And,this is his "second noob days"story.
He made hume female for "being SAM".
cause,he wanted to be mage as his 1st charactor,this　thought impressed me.
I call "her"his 2nd charactor here.
"She"reached lvl 20 and got sub,arrived Jeuno.
"She" wanted tele mea for lvling,so "she"asked other my friend RDM for tele mea.
---We all saw "her" standing alone,vacantly,after RDM casted tele mea and fly alone...---
After a little silence,"she"said.
"This charactor doesn't have mea stone."---
He is always WHM,so didn't imagine himself didn't have tele stone.
This was very rare story of my old friend,my menter made me laugh and nearly choked.
(plz ignore my spelling miss...)

Quick summary, I was in Qufim on my level 21DRG, passing time before I did Windy 8-1 and 8-2 that night, had been with this party for about 3 hours (with various replacements) and had given them a half hour warning I was leaving and had been asked to look for a replacement.
Find a SAM, and I tell the party "Alright, my replacement's a 21 SAM, on the way. I'm going to go now. ^^" The 20WAR says in party "aren't you 75?"
"Yeah, 75SMN, why?"
"lol if u were 75 u'd be rank 10"
Explain that's not true... there's plenty of rank 6 level 75s who never bothered going farther then they need to; finally offer to change to summoner, and then the above happened~ At first I thought he was talking about merits, but then he mentions "points from your mh" so I knew he was implying something else. e.e I guess I was a bit rude with the "rofl" but it made me chuckle. :x

i laughed, i cried. thank you for reminding me that when i started this game i didn't know about stacking, and i didn't know about healing, and i didn't use macros until my monk was about 42 ><. and that i lvled my whm to 36 as whm/drk. i loved my whm/drk.

His charactor name is common name in Western.
One new player checked me and claimed..
"Why you're wearing a equip with my name??"
His charactorname is not my friend's name,of course,
Noob wondered why his Real name is written in my Equip...
