I believe I started in May 04? So almost 5 years.
2. Where do you live and are you willing to travel out of state to attend live events?
Maryland, Out of state can be less then a 15min drive around here, depends on the cost and not outside the DC/VA area.
3. What time of the year would you prefer live events to be held? How many days would you like them to be?
Summer...if its indoors.
4. Did you attend Fan Festival 2008? If so, what did you think? If not, please let us know what you thought of the event.
Did not attend. Didn't seem to hold as much info as previous fan fests, tho I did like the MMM <3
5. What kind of content would you like to see in upcoming live events?
Definately more direct player/dev Q&A, and...a taru GM, these humes been runnin the show too long.

Since North American PC release, jobs 75: DRK, PLD, COR^^
2. Where do you live and are you willing to travel out of state to attend live events?
I live in Vancouver, Canada. Willing to travel, yes.
3. What time of the year would you prefer live events to be held? How many days would you like them to be?
Anytime really, Summer or Winter break would be good so I wouldn't have to worry about classes though
4. Did you attend Fan Festival 2008? If so, what did you think? If not, please let us know what you thought of the event.
I didn't attend it, I hope to next year since it's so close to where I normally live.
5. What kind of content would you like to see in upcoming live events?
Contests and actual in-game secrets disclosed.

I have been playing FFXI since NA release, taking my time the whole way. BRD75, DNC75, SCH75, working on many others~

I live in California and British Columbia; traveling would not be a problem if it happened to be a live event that really piqued my interest.

I was unable to attend the 2008 Fan Fest, but thought it looked like a fun event, with a lot of humorous interaction between attendees. The coverage from premier sites was great this year, but I was dissapointed by the lack of in-depth information revealed about FFXI.
5. What kind of content would you like to see in upcoming live events?
More information! I love how many theories come from musing over FFXI's vast world; revealing in-game secrets coupled with detailed discussion panels... *drool*

I have been playing since the North American release, with an 8 month break between the time i canceled my original character and recreated my current one. My highest level job is my level 65 THF, Tontocat. I have dubbed myself "LordTonto the Anti-Leveler."
2. Where do you live and are you willing to travel out of state to attend live events?
Pennsylvania. Yeah, I'm willing, but not too far. I am on a budget and do have a full time job... so more than 1 or 2 states away is out of the question.
3. What time of the year would you prefer live events to be held? How many days would you like them to be?
Hmm... I suppose Spring would be nice... any later and I may have already used up my vacation days. How long? I guess 3 days, tops... 1 day minimum... seems reasonable.
4. Did you attend Fan Festival 2008? If so, what did you think? If not, please let us know what you thought of the event.
No, I'm afraid I didn't go. I have only ill feeling for that and all other Fan Festival events where rare equipment was given out that is unobtainable by myself due to my poor geographic location and real life responsibilities. Boy am I bitter.

Hmm... I've never really been to a convention of any sort so I really don't know what kind of content one should expect. Naturally I'd like to meet the people that run allakhazam. I've been Gardening for a while and would love to discuss things of that nature with Miss Pikko. That's about the best I can come up with though.

I've been playing since late 2003. My highest level job is WHM 75.
2. Where do you live and are you willing to travel out of state to attend live events?
I live in Southern California, and I am willing to travel out of state for live events, other circumstances permitting.
3. What time of the year would you prefer live events to be held? How many days would you like them to be?
Early summer is a little better, due to job schedule. A 2 day event is best: after that, the event seems to drag on a little.

I attended, and thought it was the best of the Fan Festivals to date. The venue was of much higher quality than any of the previous ones, the food was far, far better, and the activities were well-paced and fun.
5. What kind of content would you like to see in upcoming live events?
I did somewhat miss the scavenger-hunt type events of the previous years, and would like to see something like that return. Something that might be interesting is another way of relating to the development team that is less about ephemeral job and game mechanics and more a broader look behind the scenes - I would like to learn just how the game was designed, how the art and development teams interact, how new content is conceived and implemented. To me, that has more lasting interesting than details about this or that weapon skill or other such minutia.
