I've heard of this happening but never seen it. I've never, ever seen a Pixie in the present. Today however I was leveling my dual box character in Tahrongi canyon and came across a Pixie.
Is this a common sight? This is the first time i've EVER seen this.

every time you obtain and trade a bottled pixie to the waterfall in Grauberg, it is released in the past zones to replace those that were killed.
Once that the maximum number of pixies have popped in the past, they will start popping in the present.

Hmm, caught this one in Tahrongi Canyon, conned IT to my level 11 BLM (Too weak to my 75 RDM). I got a pic if anyones curious.
I forgot about that bottled pixie Magian thing. That would surely push the quota far pass the past cap, with several people spamming it all day.

If you can get the max number of pixies in the present, Dark Ixion can also spawn in the present.
Funny to see this post here today since last night I just saw one for the first time in a present area. Meriphtaud Mountains. At first I thought I had somehow mistakenly gotten into the past and was ultra confused but there it was.... just floating around. My LS tried to con me into thinking it was a change made in the last update but reading around I figured out it was because of lots of ppl doing the pixie quest. Pretty cool to see!!
I caught one of the first screenshots of pixies in the present a year or two ago. They behave just like their past counterparts, so if you have no pixie hate, they'll help you out. When I saw that first one in Valkurm Dunes when I was soloing on 20-ish DRK, she hung around and acted like a power leveler, curing me and on one occasion tossing me a raise.

I was wondering why all of a sudden I was seeing pixies in Buburimu, Jugner, and Batallia, having never seen them in the present before. The Pixie-flavored Magian quest certainly explains a lot.
I remember them being around for a while for a short time after WotG came out, when people realised saving them made them pop. I haven't seen one again until yesterday (saw several, actually).
Unfortunately, they'll be gone again soon, after some noob/idiot/"that guy" kills them all again. I mean, they cure and R3! Some people just have to be an *** and kill them.

Actually saw one in North Gusta present just last week when I was soloing T1 VNMs. Just spawned and was wondering around. Confused the hell out of me until I remembered that the Quadavs nearby conned too weak.
