10/10, especially because Super Super Jump was my previous favorite.

Well, this eases my fears that there wouldn't be any DRGs in FFXIV. At least there is one over there now, too bad the Wyvern couldn't make it.

From the looks of it, there won't be any kind of pets in XIV, for now.

Panel 4 got cut off, super super climb takes a few extra seconds.

Hey guys take it easy on Usagi. I wasn't intending to make the regular happy fridays look bad with the one i donated the other week. I was just trying to show what it could become by paying a pro to do it. It's not fair to compare something done for free with something that would cost money.

Usagi does these for free for you guys (as far as i know) so rate it what you want but don't be outright trashing the guy's efforts. That's a good way to end up with no more happy fridays at all.

Your one was however awesome enough to blow away everything else before and after it (to date), so I think that the present reactions are only natural. :/

I wouldn't assume that rating is based purely on the quality of the art. You don't need to be a professional graphics artist to deliver a joke well. The last two Happy Fridays fell flat because they lacked any sort of a punch line in the final frame.

It really is a tough crowd here. Come on, how many actual laughs do you get out of syndicated comic strips in the newspapers? And how bad is some of the art there? And those are professionals. For free, themed content, I'd say Usagi's efforts are darn good and I do appreciate them.

Hmmm nice ,but nicer if he landed alone on a NM and had another lonely death in Vanadiel.

Since a syndicated comic strip has to run something every day, I expect less. When you have to churn stuff out that often, it's harder to come up with fresh humor.

If a strip only puts something out once a week, I expect more.

I would only expect more of somebody if I paid them to do it.
For those who think they can do better, I think Usagi should throw out the gauntlet to forum members and make some sort of cartoon strip competition. ;)

This. I usually don't even consider the art quality unless it's either really good, or really bad. If it's not funny, it's not funny, regardless of how well it's drawn.

Some of the funniest online comics I read have horrid artwork. That's just part of their charm.

For those complaining about bad artistry, you've clearly never reveled in the awesomeness that is xkcd.

Nice one Usagi, I give it 8/10 :)
