The "Thank you for your cooperation." at the end was a bit creepy and authoritarian.

Needs a comments section so I can illustrate such things like:

The only good trusts, the ones I selected, are good because they apply buffs that easily scale out more damage than any other trust can do.

Or that my dissatisfaction with Job Points isn't the glacial acquisition rate but the sheer trivialness of some of the upgrades.

Yeah, they should have broken the Job Point questions down into "how do you feel about the acquisition?" and "how do you feel about the rewards?" at the very least.

we'll be making additions that involve playing with a large amount of players using the monster families and sub-species you've unlocked.

It's good to know they're planning on salvaging it.

You might want to run away though if you hear someone use Mighty Strikes...

You've a better chance of getting a krakenclub to drop than you do of seeing another player in monstrosity with belligerency up, with a war job.

Pretty much what I expected the results would be.

Though I'd have to make an exception to the Holiday Event feedback; nearly half of the people responding to the Survey never touched any of the Holidays. I suspected a lot of people skipped it, but 40-50% of the whole playerbase?

Maybe if the Holidays gave some sort of tangible reward (doesn't have to be powerful, but yet something useful), more people might be inclined to do it. The game strongly encourages you to put in long hours working for the many goals in the game, to the point that a lot of players probably don't have the time to chase objectives that don't give any tangible reward (other than items they will likely promptly dump on the event item storer NPC).

What exactly these rewards could be, I dunno. IMO, little things like weapon/magic skillup books and such could be a place to start.

Then comes the argument (mainly seen on XIV and equivillent generic MMOs) "Just give us something to do other than grinding, something fun, doesn't have to be real rewards, just something other than grinding the same content over and over", and when they do people usually skip it because it doesn't hand out equivillent rewards.

Skillup stuff is a big no, as you can easily get them doing almost nothing (RoE) so that to be honest would be a waste of an opportunity xD.

More all jobs equippable weapons would be a good place to start - those are at least somewhat useful for solo proccing mobs in abyssea. Also, more things with warps on them. I love things that will warp me somewhere. Even if 99% of the time the warp is useless there will always be that one quest or w/e that wants you to go to that out of the way place - so having the warp item is handy. Even if the item was like ducal guard's ring or the nation chocobo scarves you can get - and had limited charges, people would be into it, it's always handy.

Neither of those things would be gamebreaking, but they would be nice.

Also if they gave some level 30+ event gear which could replace the chocobo stuff a bit, that would get people interested. It might be more gamebreaking tho because it would replace crafted or dropped stuff... I mean, I used to get event gear because some of it was the only thing you could wear in some slots till level 8 or 10... and it took more than 5 minutes to get to level 8 or 10. It was more convenient to have a 1-10 set that was all jobs... but really just can wear chocobo shirt and destrier beret and nothing else till level 30 and be fine pretty much.

Anything AT ALL with any amount of movement speed would get people interested. Even 5% movement speed - it would be worth picking up for those jobs where you don't have any movement speed gear.

Something to keep in mind is lots of players have ALL the holiday event items already, so unless they add new stuff many people aren't going to do them at all.

Rewards don't have to be OMFG amazing, but having them actually be worthwhile is nice. Heck even some super good r/ex food would get me interested. If doing the event got me a stack of Moogle sandwiches that were worth eating, that would be cool - but wth is the point of something like moogurt?

Lack of rewards aside, my usual beef with events is a sort of uninspired feeling that comes with them, often the result of simply trying to tug on our heartstrings relative to RL holidays. A lot of XI's ones won't really resonate with non-JP folk where we tend not to have things like doll festivals or a more universal welcoming of summer. As far as the game goes, this usually just goes on to include some bad mini-games, a few zone decorations, and maybe a temporary music change. My artistic side just kind of clamors for more.

The gamer side, however, doesn't want to just be capped to level 1 and not really experience some kind of seasonal event content at our fullest potential. Not everyone is going to remember the Twinkling Treants event for unlocking Outpost warping, as an example, but even the thought of placing a challenge before the servers and seeing who might win can liven things up. Functional gear with the unique aesthetics can also be a thing, too. Obviously the challenge(s) should be relative to the reward, but on the other, nothing should technically be unique so people who missed the events wouldn't be screwed out of useful things.

Oh well. :(
