Honestly whether or not I have help, the grind feels about just as long. Most of the wait is involved with just getting in, but even with a group for the tougher fights, the tougher fights also take long enough to the point where I'm not even sure if it's worth the extra points.
My experience so far has been a bit different. But I absolutely agree that so far the biggest problem at this point on my server in congestion; just trying to get in is the toughest part. A group of three of us, just about any job, can handle the dragon on difficult with trust support to fill out the party. August tanks D fine, and trust healers are sufficient to keep everyone alive.
With a group of six players, we could handle the very difficult dragon with ease, taking only about one minute more to kill that than difficult. Given that the primary metering issue was simply entering the fights, the extra points from VD over D were certainly appreciated. The orcs, on the other hand, were a longer and messier fight, prompting us to just run the dragon as fast as we could.
