The only thing I did with the Savage is I went into the 1st level for a few taster runs - furthest I get is to kill Faust, but nothing beyond.
I personally see many players glamouring their character Bahamut gear. Even the gears are obsolete now, it is a prestige and they look cool (the graphical design of most old and new prestige FFXIV gear look quite good). I never got to clear Bahamut properly when it was hard as I am too busy with life since Day 1 in FFXIV to be able to commit to a static. I cleared it finally with the cap removed; even with cap removed, it was hard. People who did it the hard way, they did a great job. I wouldn't able to beat it (laugh). Oh yes, I still considered beating Extreme Titan without dying and Dyn-Xarcbard as 75 as my best MMO achievements even Extreme Titan and FFXI Dynamis gear had all gone obsolete!
It was clear that all gear will go obsolete eventually. Given how the game mechanics are set up, the game cannot introduce new gear without having old gear going obsolete (in FFXI mechanics, the is somewhat less a problem). It is probably best considered what one has done was something cool and fun. It is actually a GOOD thing that you can change your glamour in this game. The only other MMO I have played before is FFXI, and the glamouring function have never existed.
Anyway, given how slow I play - I will likely to fall behind in the new content. But just do what you want. I am having fun messing around with 30-some Machinist last few days. It was as fun as doing Extreme Titan (but I was a bit naughty as a dungeon Machinist for stealing hate from tank)!

beautiful and good — that is the creed I seek.
