Any talk of a WC4 :: Final Fantasy XI

Has anyone heard anything about a plan to release a WC4.

I loved the series. SC was good. SC2 was just ok. I'd really like to see a WC4, but haven't heard anything... Just wondering...

I don't think they'll do a new Warcraft RTS as long as they continue WoW. Would be too much hassle storywise.

I found SC2 (both installations) extremely fun to play. The story could be better but the gameplay is great. Can only speak for the singleplayer though.

I can't see a WC4 happening unless they either do a big time skip (like to the future era with Warhammer), or they reach a point with WoW where the story content is relatively sustainable and they can move the IP forward.

On the other hand, there's plenty of room for a WC prequel game. If they wanted. Only issue is that they couldn't really do the Orcs vs. Humans route unless they wanted to set it some time between WC1 and 3.
