So when did the Murlocs get a new design change? Did all of them? I ran Blackfathom deeps (? yea?) tonight. The murlocs looks BA (and the dungeon was different).

Well good news (for my server) and bad news (for me).

I've mentioned it before I play on an Oceanic server, which are LA based servers. I get a 30 ms ping and moved there because the ANZ time worked well with my schedule.

Yesterday/Last night Blizz announced Oceanic servers are being transferred to Australia, which helps all the ANZ players but now Im looking at a 200+ latency.

Bliz is offering "free" transfers from all servers to an Oceanic server to get the ANZ players there. I put free in quotes because its a "You pay for the transfer and we'll refund the money" which is BS but w/e.

Me and the Wife have posted a bit on OBoards asking CMs if they are going to offer US players free transfers off since they are essentially making the game unplayable competitively. No response and being the Oboards the trolls are a coming out.

Worst part is were worried that even if they do offer "free" transfers off we dont have 500 dollars that we can wait to have refunded. I have no money since Im in college on retraining grants . I'm considering putting in a ticket to refund 2xWoD(one digital collectors)/ game time. I don't want to but I don't think I could handle 200 + ping. The CMs havent responded to the people questioning getting off.

I think its dirty that Blizzard is pretty much extorting us. "Thats a nice account of characters there. Wouldnt it be a shame if something were to happen to them?"

Ouch. I'd be spamming the OF and sending in ticket after ticket, with emails.
There is a reason (like you) people rolled on the realms, and now they are slapping you in the face.

Pretty much. I read they are creating oceanic servers and thought "how nice". I did not read further since it doesn't concern me, but the way they are apparently doing it is not as nice as I first thought. Smiley: dubious

Quick Update: Put in a ticket they are moving my character to a US based server for free. I was put on the spot and didn't do any research, as I wasn't expecting more than a canned answer, so I just went for Zul'jin. Since it high Horde pop.

Probably nowhere near done, I'd think. I fully expect things up to 6.1 to be a mess.

That's nothing against Blizz, it's still crazy hard to get things to balance closely at all. Every time a new round of hotfixes go out the Shadow guys and gals at least have to rerun about 60 hours worth of sims, just for the one spec. We're getting closer, though.

At least the newest list of hotfixes is significantly shorter than the ones before. So maybe the most glaring issues are solved.

And if you haven't turbo'd a newer toon up to 90,,,,,take Illidans advice and be prepared.

You will not have all your abilities right away, but instead get batches of them as you do the Iron Horde quests in Blasted Lands. This includes flying as well, which you will receive at the end these quests.
I'm sure this was all in some notes somewhere, but I obviously didn't read them and was all "Wtf...why can't I fly!" I understand the reasoning behind this, to give newbies some time to learn these new skills.
Anyways, I did a few quests but got tired of the slowness of ground mounting, and since I noticed in my general tab the only skill I did not get for free was "master riding" or whatever it's called, so too the portal to Org, trained...and still couldn't fly!
In my frustration, I then remembered to Q for the Headless Horseman as it was nearing bedtime. Finished that and hearthed (your HS is set to your teams rallying area in Blasted Lands) back to Blasted Lands to finish the quest line. It was then that I noticed I could fly, and had all my skills.
I like to think this is an intended method for regular players to bypass the noob training, regardless I finished the rest of the quest line inside of 10 minutes with the flying bonus. It's going to be difficult to "retrain" once WoD hits and we can all no longer fly anymore.

Honestly though, the complaint this expac isn't necessarily balance. It just feels like they had two different teams on class design, because certain class/specs are absolutely a blast to play. Then there are classes that parse extremely well, but are just junk

When you have a dps that takes a lot of thought to play, which has buttons to press and decisions to make it's a joy to raid.. Then you have Fire Mage or Feral Druid that are clunky or suffer from excessive dead time with nothing to do. For healers you have Holy Priest and Resto Druid which play great, then Resto Shaman and Holy paladin that are basically what they were in TBC and feel dated. Then other classes which are just clunky (boomkin).

Which is my main concern, balance can be fixed with numbers, how do you address clunky or dated gameplay?

This is a great question, and I hope they figure it out soon.
I played Wildstar while I was off from work, it has been hard coming back to WoW. I got real use to just aiming skills and knowing I was hitting anything that was in front of me, not having to actually target anything.
WoW's play style really shows how old it is now XD

Been playing a low lvl toon and found some older quests have been broken with the squash. The quest in West Plaguelands involving the troll druid (name starts with a Z) is semi broke. HE randomly turns into a druid aspect and when he turns into boomkin he starts casting on himself. Before it would take him down to about 40% health. Now he kills himself and you have to run back to the camp and talk to him for him to follow you again.

Woohoo..one I submitted has been fixed.

"XT-002 Deconstructor's Searing Light ability should no longer deal an excessive amount of damage."

There are still some of the older raids with some weird damage happening at time, should get sorted out over time I guess. I actually died on my Monk to Rotface last night. Merrily beating away, slowly because I just generally suck at playing a Monk tank and with a turbo'd 90, and then I just died while at full health. Probably some mechanic I suppose, but I never noticed anything.

Was it Rotface or Festergut? Because Festergut actually had an instant kill mechanic.

Yeah, that one puts a stacking debuff on the tank. At 10 (IIRC) stacks, the tank explodes, killing them instantly. If you're soloing, that means the tank is you.

That would have been it then. Got my spores mixed up, thinking it was the damage buff one ala Loetheb.

That's the one. I finally figured it out solo, at least for my DK. Have to use control undead on one of the scientists. With whatever it channels at you do during the fight, I was able to down him quite easy. Without the scientist, I just didn't have enough dps to finish him before the debuff got me.

There is no way that I can see my monk soloing it on 25 until he can burst it down.
