And if you haven't turbo'd a newer toon up to 90,,,,,take Illidans advice and be prepared.
You will not have all your abilities right away, but instead get batches of them as you do the Iron Horde quests in Blasted Lands. This includes flying as well, which you will receive at the end these quests.
I'm sure this was all in some notes somewhere, but I obviously didn't read them and was all "Wtf...why can't I fly!" I understand the reasoning behind this, to give newbies some time to learn these new skills.
Anyways, I did a few quests but got tired of the slowness of ground mounting, and since I noticed in my general tab the only skill I did not get for free was "master riding" or whatever it's called, so too the portal to Org, trained...and still couldn't fly!
In my frustration, I then remembered to Q for the Headless Horseman as it was nearing bedtime. Finished that and hearthed (your HS is set to your teams rallying area in Blasted Lands) back to Blasted Lands to finish the quest line. It was then that I noticed I could fly, and had all my skills.
I like to think this is an intended method for regular players to bypass the noob training, regardless I finished the rest of the quest line inside of 10 minutes with the flying bonus. It's going to be difficult to "retrain" once WoD hits and we can all no longer fly anymore.
