Oooooo, Icons.

Quote:
It is now possible to use Emblems to make "Icons" of the Giants. There are 11 new items, one each for Alph, Cosma, Friendly, Grendaline, Humbaba, Lem, Mab, Pot, Spriggan, Tii and Zille. Making an Icon requires 11 of the same Emblem (e.g., 11 Emblems of Mab can be used to make one Icon of Mab).

Like Emblems, Icons have three single-use-daily verbs on them which give XP, mood and currants (though the Icon versions give substantially higher return). You also have a chance of magically receiving significant favor from a Giant when you are near one of its Icons placed on the ground. Note: In order to continue to perform their magic, Icons must be tithed to occasionally.

I think Stoot meant that they give exp, mood, or energy, not currants. Still, you can use both an icon and an emblem of the same Giant each day. Be warned: if you drop them on the ground, other people can take them (except in your house).

Tell me i'm missing something when it comes to getting a super harvest on a tree.

From what I can tell, LGT3 is all you need, yet ive watched a dude get 3 super harvests in a span of 20 seconds, while i harvested every spice tree in Ix and never had a single one. In fact I've only ever noticed one. Do i need something else to make it more possible, or is it just a case of my usual terrible, terrible luck?

LGT has nothing to do with it. You need Gardening 3 to gain access to super harvests, and you won't start to see a good number of them until you have Gardening 4.

Hog-tied piggies can no longer be donated or sold to vendors.

A little ray of sadistic sunlight has gone out of my universe Smiley: frown

(I haven't actually ever sold them, but I have thought about it...)

I love the fact that the hogtied pigs have duct tape on their mouths...

And I think people are probably making their way to other continents.

My butterflies all DIED!! Smiley: frown

I guess they only live for 7 days. I came back and there were milk bottles all over the ground, and not a butterfly to be seen.

Time to make 10 more, haha!

I've got 63 total skills learned so far. And 1.5 hours til Tinkering III is done. Going to get Botany next, and then either Tinkering IV or Teleport IV, not sure which. Leaning towards Teleport IV right now, but it may change.

I have 59 skills. :P

Doing Gardening V now. Takes over a week, but it's fine because it'll finish the day after my sister's wedding, around 10 o'clock. :P Dunno what I'll grab after that--maybe work my way to piety.

Also, the only emblem I still need to spend is Alph's. Is there any particular bonus to getting them after spending them? The mood/energy/experience doesn't seem to warrant 10 bag slots to me.

Emblems let you store 1000 favor worth of time bonus. You are limited to the amount of favor you can earn each day, so you can store emblems to get a lot of bonus at once.

11 Emblems of one Giant and you can make an Icon, which gives bigger bonus, and if you set it on the ground in your house, you can randomly receive blessings for being near it.

Currently if I want to learn Mining IV, it will be 8 days 21 hours.

Icon of Humbaba Get.

Just like an Emblem, you can use its three actions per day. Instead of Consider, Contemplate, Caress you get Reflect, Revere, Ruminate.

I got 333 Energy, 401 Exp, and 100 Mood (maxed my mood guage, so probably would have got more).

I was pleasantly surprised by the bonuses. From what everyone was saying, I expected a lot less from it.

Edit:
Walked by it just now and it gave me 158 Energy.

Oooh, so they are actually worth getting? That's good.

I really hope there's some kind of large update sometime soon. I'm just about done getting everything I'm at all interested in. Just need to up myself to a mansion, and that would be it...

Thought I was glitching (heh) this morning until I read the updates about triple jumps. Every once in a while I'd jump higher, faster, and had no idea why. Turns out that if you jump continuously, right as you land, on your third jump you go about twice as high. I hear it can be added with spinach activated right before the third jump to take off like a rocket Smiley: lol

In other news, I completed about 10 skills in the past day. My longest skill right now is piety, which is at around... 1 day, 10 hours? But I have no desire to get it, so it's waiting. I finished:

EZ Cooking I
Cheffery
Cheffery II (technically still working on it right now)
Blending
Grilling
Saucery
Refining I
Refining II
Intermediate Admixing
Botany

It's nice still having low skill times Smiley: nod

Edit: Hahaha, holy heck it's fun to use spinach before the third jump!
