Did Saurfang last night with a pug, peaked at 9K dps, held 7600 steady, in frost of course.
In Arcane, I peaked at 13K, but my consistent DPS was much lower at 6500ish, due to mana concerns. I've determined that without a Disc priest, frost is at LEAST numerically equal to arcane at this point in time. With a Disc priest, things get craaaazy.

I know 7600 doesn't sound a lot to you 25 man raiders, but I'm very proud of myself.

Grats, now just save up to get rid of the legs and get the better set pieces and replace the legs with offset ones :-)

Not much of an achievement, but I hit 50 tonight and finally got my pet Puddles. Cant believe how much of a damage increase it is. Against Erannikus in Sunken Temple I done 11.1k damage, Puddles done 4.6k the next dps done 4.5k. It made me smile. The huntard doing 1k damage didnt make me smile. It made me fear for the future of humanity.

Decided to bite the bullet and swapped guilds.
Got my first Marrowgar and Rotface 25 kills, already had Deathwhisper - Saurfang.
New guild is on a DKP system, so even though around 5 things dropped for me, I didn't stand a chance in hell of getting them.
As frost, I managed to stay around 11th DPS in my meager 10 man gear (I was the worst geared person in the raid). 7200 on Uncle Fester on our best try isn't too shabby IMO.

Don't get me wrong, I despise the system, but it's not something I'd leave a competent guild over. More upgrades will fall from the sky in the near future.

Downed Putricide and Princes, and saved Dreamwalker for the first time in 25 man. Also did ToC25 for the first time and got my trinket from Anub.
25s are boring compared to tens, but I can't say no to the better gear :(

It just feels like there's 90% less pressure. No drive. The fact that a person can die even on a fight like Putricide just takes some jazz away from it.

While we're on the subject, I dislike 25s as well.

A) Boquaz' argument is true for me; it's easy getting 10 people together. It's fairly easy getting 10 GOOD players together. It's easy enough to get 25 players together. It's impossible to get 25 GOOD players to get to actually make progress on harder 25-man stuff.
B) Jay's argument is true too; there's a bit less pleasure. It feels kind of meh when our two most failcake DPS die in P1 on Putricide and we still down him because we've got a couple of kickass DPSers carrying their asses.
C) 25-mans are so ******* hectic. Especially as a healer, it's way easier to focus on stuff in 10-mans. In 25-mans I just feel like I need to be a druid spamming Wild Growth to actually be of any use to my group healingwise. There's simply so much to heal and so much healers that I barely feel like I'm making an impact. Half my heals are being sniped anyway.

That said, to stay on-topic; we totally one-shot Sindragosa and the Lich King today. That was unexpected. We spend the rest of the evening attempting Algalon again and doing some leftover Ulduar hardmodes. 18%. Looks like he might be going down next week. 3/4 achievements I really want.

as per the discussion above... not there at 25 yet, but we are up to Sindragosa this week. I'm just happy to get him down in 10 man!

Congratulations Anobix. I think you will get some hardmodes down. Marrowgar/Airship arent bad, Blood queen isn't bad if you were well ahead of the enrage in normal. BPC just needs a good strat that minimizes movement by everyone(and we find it easiest to use a feral druid to gather nucleii and tank the shadow casting boss). Rotface just gets crazy at the end, and Festergut is much easier now that you can see where the goo will land.

By the way I was looking at your WOL and didnt see you on a lot of the parses, do you raid fulltime? We have been looking for a very knowledgeable/skilled 11-12k dps mage hint hint. =)


We made a couple of pulls on heroic LK this week, it wasn't pretty at all. Hoping to have some time to put into it next week to see where we actually stand on that fight right now.

Thats actually why I am on this realm, late raid times on west coast. I use to be an officer in Final Chapter on Rivendare but couldn't do the 2-3 am ending raids anymore. Server I am on now is in Boston, and I raid from 8-12 wed,thurs,mon.

Server is very horde heavy, it got this bad after faction transfers opened. Was always horde dominated but there arent too many alliance left now. PVE wise though this server is extremely good with 3 guilds at 11/12 and 6 more at 9 or 10/12 heroic.
