well about the trinket we/I use diff trinkets at diff. boss as u know some boss are pure dps race as the brutalis is and some are pure decursing or tactic/surviving ones so. I use on brutalis hex of shrunken head and serpentcoil braid (+hit/crit)/ Icon of silver crecent and the last mentioned trinkets are use because i dont have the skull from illi yet :). For serviving i use sorceres alchymist and battlemaster audacity. We mage suck on hp so therefor we sometimes "lagg" on dps for we need compensate hp for dps and therefore we need use such trinkets and gear.

About the brutalis fight our grp is with SP(shadowpriest) in every mana user grp and min 3 shaman but 4 or 5 would be better for upper dps and we have a moonkin which gives nice +crit buff too.
And the chain healing fromshamans is great and mages can IB when they got the "burn"

My mage acomplishment hmmmm. Would have to be when I first soloed sm fully. Second most fav was in kara me and main tank only ones left alive while rest of raid wiped. That was amazing I survived with 100 health but outlived healers, locks, hunter, even one prot pali.

Well I am no lvl 70 (lvl 32 now) but I was pretty proud of going in four man into SM and we had a couple of newbs so it was that much harder. The only one who wasnt newb was the rogue (fancy that eh?) The only thing that kept us from wiping was my sheeps. And the reason I say this is because I went on the worldofwarcraft.com forums for the first time ever yesterday and it reminded me of why my uncle told me about this forum/site...I was in the mage forums there was actually a group of people ranting on and on about mages being thrown under the bus and they need this and that and what we are only good for is CC and they went on to say that the sheep is "the most mana effecient heal in the game" and I coudnt help but say back...That "mana effecient heal" has kept me from wiping plenty of times. I WILL never go to visit those forums again thats for sure.

My mage is just an alt (and mostly only a Daily runner at this point) so certainly can't compete with the BT/SWP guys around here, but I fell into a Kara pug the other day while still wearing mostly quested greens/blues. Got second in DPS on Attumen while decursing most of the fight, first on Moroes by about 7% and first on Maiden by about 6% before I had to go. Got a couple of purples to go along with my greens.

Was a fun little trip nonetheless.

Obtained Merc. Gladiator Silk Raiment yesterday after a very long pvp session.

And don't about where you in relation to other players. Yes, they might have better gear, but in the end, it's all about how much fun you are having in the game.

Ppl can what they want but filling out your gear with pvp epics is a very time consuming task....Sure it may not get the glory of pve epics, but it still takes dedication and time none the less.....I'm up to 4 pieces of my S2 set and have the S2 staff and I'm very happy with that accomplishment so far.

Expect to see the average damage from your main nuke go up by about 175 before you leave HFP. XD

Oh yeah. I already did only a couple of quests and got some upgrades and my bonus fire damage went from around 30 to 100something lol. I'm liking it. Will need to get some minor enchants on the stuff, since I have a butt load of mats on my enchanter

I know its not a big deal but I was pretty excited about it...Dinged 40 last night. Its so funny cause all this time I have been riding around on my pinto horse ...ugly thing but boy he gets to to point B :-) and whilst I am riding around STV and Hillsbrad and Arathi I am wondering how in the world you WoW vets tolerated running around these places without a mount!!! I got mine at exactly lvl 30 and I dont know what I woulda done without it lol.

Yes, it's very grueling, especially when I don't really like PvP.

Anyways, completed S2 set, minus gloves, which I managed a while ago to get S3. Working on the off-set stuff now, but my hearts not really in it. I'm sure I'll burst into a PvP grind mood again soon.

I had a mage /point and /laugh at me, who was in full T6. As you can see from my sig, WoW is not my main game, so my time is spent mostly in FFXI. But I did have to wonder at how much time was spent getting that set that could have been spent doing something else....

Solo'd Gorlash (42 elite) at 40 a couple of days ago... When I started it and my opening pyro hit him for 5% of his HP I really didn't think I was going to make it =)

LOL you always kill Hogger. I see you in all the posts saying you killed him. CONGRATS are to be had I think. LOL

Well on my mage I think it was the fact that I finally got all epics. He was the first character I ever did that on. I tried at 60. But I did it at 70!

Unfortunately I had to leave my guild at 60 to finish MC and BWL without me because I had to deploy. They sent pictures of every boss they killed after that yelling "FOR CRONNIE". I made a lot of really good friends in that guild. And if any of them are reading this I am still around just not at this very moment (less then 2 months :)). Then I will be back to raid with you all again. And yes I do miss you guys!! P.S. AX stop yelling at me! LOL

Ok for those of you who don't know me sorry you had to read that.

Edit: If anyone from the old guild ADD or MP or Critalin reads this send me a PM.

Being part of a 2night +1hour on 3rd night progression on Brutallus was a great feeling. The kill shot was the worst setup we had out of the 3 nights, rogue wasnt online as was neither of our bm hunters, but we still pulled it together. Kill was 6 min and 13 seconds (should be well under enrage when we get 3 of our highest dps in next time) and i did 815670 at 2272dps. The good thing is I can bring that number up some, i burned a lot of globals on fire ward for meteor slash because of some deaths in the previous night when burned people left soak groups.

After procrastinating for what felt like forever, I finally put on my grinding hat and bought the 8000 honor PvP trinket, and the S2 legs.

My mage has been my main source of PvP.. even some arena action. But a major component (the trinket) was missing and I just didn't care for the longest time. Escape artist.. blink.. iceblock.. I don't need one.

But as time wore on I realized I could burn all of those and still need just one more. One more would have made the difference in so many fights.. so I went for it.

Anyways, that's all. S2 legs and trinket :) Yay.
