I don't want to turn the main thread on this into a mage fest, so let's discuss this more in depth here. Specifically, which new spells or quality of life changes make your heart burst with joy?

http://us.battle.net/wow/en/game/mists-of-pandaria/feature/talent-calculator#eZ!

-For me, the change to ignite(now our mastery, giving a DoT to all DD spells rather than just crits), has a lot of potential. And Fire Spec getting reliable DoT cleaving(Inferno Blast) just makes me extremely happy. The lowering of combustion's cooldown(with a probable nerf to the damage), means you're much less penalized for minor mistakes with it.

-The changes to the armor spells are somewhat intriguing. Mostly, I wonder if their other effects will be worked into baseline.

-Some spells going baseline for all specs make me quite happy as well(Improved Counterspell(!), Shatter, Burning Soul)

-Alter Time intrigues me, though I'm really going to have to see it in action before I can make a final judgment.

So, what are your thoughts? How happy are you for Arcane Orb?

Are they removing Frost from the PvE scene? What's up with a mastery that doesn't work on boss fights? Smiley: dubious

I'm guessing that hasn't been finalized yet.

They haven't changed frost's mastery at all Maz, and it currently works on boss fights just fine. They seem to use "frozen" and "chilled" interchangeably for some reason.

Didn't know Frost's mastery was this until now. Just noticed the 'frozen' part and found it odd since bosses can't be frozen.

Guess they just made a typo.

Isn't that what Fingers of Frost is for? It lets you treat un-freezable mobs like they were frozen?

Oh, right! Yes that's exactly what FoF does. Der. Smiley: facepalm
