[Hunter] BM PvP Weapons Question: New QuestionFollow

Hi Everyone :D

**Edited for new question**

I have a quick question to ask: Should I pick up a PvP Gun? Right now it will increase my stats by:
DPS: -89
Agil: +0
Crit: +89
Res: +89

I was thinking of waiting to pick this up seeing I can get a bit more resilience from other equips. Think it is best to hold on on picking this gun up yet?
Thanks :D

**lol got a new weapon and stats changed heavily. Thanks all for the advice**

I'm not much of a PvP'er as many can tell you, but I believe that overall, you'd want the better stat potential than the possible slightly faster ability of Wing Clip. Especially being a hunter. That's just me though. I'll let the more experienced ones put their input

I thought it was on the GCD, not "next weapon hit" or anything like that. So in that case it wouldn't matter.

It's been a while though. Smiley: frown

I think it is on global cool down, but I was unsure if weapon attack spread changed that. Gonna go the Pike. Thanks for reminding me about the GCD :D

Wing Clip is on the Global Cooldown (GCD).

The only thing affecting the GCD is the stat Haste, but only down to a minimum duration of 1 second. Since Hunters, along with Rogues, Feral Druids and Unholy Death Knights, have a base GCD of 1 second, Haste cannot lower it any further.

Your weapon speed does not affect the application of abilities. If an ability is instant, like Wing Clip (tooltip says instant) then it will be applied the moment you hit the button, provided you're within range, the GCD is ready and you don't miss. Your weapon speed determines the speed of your auto-attack/-shot and the damage your abilities do (don't know the formula).

If weapon DPS is equal do math:

Assume Agi = 2
Assume all non agi stats except resil = 1 and resil = 0

Do math. Get answer.

If weapon DPS differs I don't know how it impacts the math so I can't help if it differs by more than 5.

If there is minimal res change go with the weapon since your BM the agi will give a nice dmg increase

Honestly the resilience is better in PvP than the Agi.

For hunters (and rogues) the stat priorities generally go resil > agi > crit after you get to the hit cap for yellow attacks. Resil gear will give you plenty of stam so that's not a concern.

That's for PvP, obviously. But yeah.
