Ok maybe someone can help me here, but I am trying to purchase this add-on because I just recently started playing FFXI again after a few year break but when I go to purchase it thru the playonline viewer it tells me that I can't do anything and have to go to my square enix account management page to get the services but I can't find anywhere on the square enix page to purchase this add-on and the shantotto one either. Please someone help me!!!

This add-on is nothing of ACP, Players have alot more to benefit from this new add-on, new mobs, new areas, new equipment with very good augments to add on to them. simply to say this is gunna be a failure without giving it a chance is ridiculous.
Reviewers are worthless

I enjoyed the story for ACP. My friends I completed it with equally enjoyed it. I would have been happier if it was a bit cheaper considering its short duration, but it was fun. Some people complain too much.

It's like Transformers II, the online reviews mostly were bad, but a lot of people liked it. Personally, it had its moments of fun, but on an overall, I think it was only about the same as the first one.

Reviewers are worthless sometimes...Get over it. ACP was the most fun I've had in FFXI since my first job hit 75.
its called business

SE will still make money with little effort on their part. and a certain number of people will buy it. this is the nature of how MMO have become. F2P thrive on this kind of marketing and it seems SE just now started to pick up on it.

Scheduling?

How can something be "scheduled" for a non specific date?

scheduled for late July? If they don't have a date, then isn't it not yet scheduled?

obligatory "ACP was a dissapointment"

It's more than obvious at this point that SE is selling ingame items, and not expansions.

Tidal Talisman
Security Token
ACP Body Piece
MKE Head Piece

I'm surprised they don't have a playonline store yet, selling these items directly for gil, and skipping the "content" to make it seem like you're not directly purchasing the ingame item...
"Evil in Small Doses" a great tagline for FFXI add-ons

FFXI have declared ACP a success dispite all online critics writing a report on how bad it was- ABSOLUTELY no one gave it a good or medium star rating. 98% of players including the fanbois have said that ACP was a disaster "....with exception of the reward at the end"

UK players are expected to pay 50% more again despite absolutely no reason for it, its all downloadable online and no shipping/marketing costs in the UK.

Due to them not ackowledging that ACP was a failure and shipping this out I expect no improvements on the last installment.

This will be a failed add-on....but FFXI will still ignore any critism as they have another add-on to release....they will still claim it as a success

The sales on this release will without a doubt be less than ACP's sales. I for one am ordering pop-corn for the expected "I didnt get my moneys worth" from the mugs that still shed out money because they feel they just have to.

At this time of financial crisis charities are desperate for money - do some good and give it to people who deserve it!
