Ive noticed the same thing, wasnt sure if it was new or not.... wierd. Id have to go into my inventory and select the things i had to the point it said "Use/Drop" before it came up in the AUto Translate..

Here's a bit of disturbing news...I don't think this was always true...but...if you haven't seen an item, or if you don't have a certain itemyou can't make it show up in the auto-translator. For example, this morning I tried Emperor's Hairpin, but was unable to get it to show up on the auto-translate. As it turns out, you had to have ownerd or seen whatever you are trying to translate. I don't think this was true during other updates...but, please give a few replies and we'll see. I also tried this with beetle rings.

Its always been like that. When I was doing the Tarut Cards quest, I could only translate the ones that I had.
