The Sunbreeze Festival!

Edit: SE sent information about the correct places moogles are. Master, Master! My wings are wilting wretchedly in this warm weather, kupo! It's times like this that I wish I wasn't covered in fur... Of course, we moogles aren't the only ones suffering, kupo! All the craftsmen, merchants, and even the city guards are languishing listlessly while longing for a little relief from the heat. But never fear, kupo! Officials from each nation have joined forces with the M.H.M.U. to lift the spirits of sweltering soldiers and adventurers alike with a brand-new proposal: the Sunbreeze Festival! While continuing the popular activities of previous festivals, this event aims to lure cool breezes from the heavens with all the fun and dancing taking place here on the ground, kupo! The officials I mentioned earlier had a slightly different idea, but it was thankfully voted down. (Casting a humongous Blizzaga V above each city and showering the citizens with shards of ice didn't seem like the safest solution, kupo...) Fantastic fireworks and sensational goldfish scooping are slated to make a return this year, along with the introduction of the Rakapopo Dancers; a Tarutaru troupe that performs the Far Eastern Sunbreeze Shuffle! And don't miss out on the wonderful prizes to be won from the addictive new game invented by Azimuth of the Alchemists' Guild, kupo! All these absorbing activities are sure to take your mind off the heat, so join your friends and help make the Sunbreeze Festival a refreshing success! Event Details This event is scheduled to commence at Jul. 21, 2005 17:00 (PST). Event Locations The festival will take place in the following areas, with festive music and fireworks to liven up the evening from 19:00 to 6:00 (Vana'diel Time). West Ronfaure/East Ronfaure/Northern San d'Oria/Southern San d'Oria North Gustaberg/South Gustaberg/Bastok Mines/Bastok Markets East Sarutabaruta/West Sarutabaruta/Windurst Waters/Windurst Walls/Windurst Woods Western Altepa Desert/ Eastern Altepa Desert/Rabao Fireworks will be sold in these locations: Port San d'Oria (D-8) Port Bastok (L-8) Windurst Waters (G-10) Goldfish scooping sets can be obtained from merchants in these locations: West Ronfaure (G-10) South Gustaberg (E-8) East Sarutabaruta (H-8) Rabao (F-7)

I just hop there is no rice cakes given out. I have done two events and all i got was those stupid rice cakes. Wasted 45 min to get a pty of ten people for the cakes. I was fairly perturbbed(or however you spell it). I swore to never do another event but, if you can get something other than cakes then I might take that back. Stupid Rice Cakes!

I know what items you can get in this festival, and theyre kinda nice.

Go to ffxi.cannotlinkto and click on the link for the version update. It shows every new item they added. In them are a bunch of lvl 1 RSE for every race. A NQ and a +1.

One of the +1 has added effect "Reduces clamming "incidents" --->(mandragora jumping in your bucket and losing everything when you get a large enough pail anyone???)

and the other +1 version has added effect "Improves clamming results"

you knew they would add clamming gear eventually, well here it is. This appears to be your one and only chance to get it too since its all rare/ex. DON'T MISS IT!!!

I was reading through the event details, but was wondering is the event only a few hours long? When I was reading it, it seemed like it'd only be available for a couple hours, unless I've misread it. Any help is appreciated.

This event, if anything like the Summer Fest last year, will last a little over two weeks Earth Time. Keep in mind that some serious lag will probably be centered in the areas with the "Market Moogles" in the specific areas mentioned. Also, depending on the type of 'Moogle Quest' that will be given this could result in a mass increase in /Shout in these areas as well. Thus creating more lag.

So, if you have no interest in this event for the first few days or if you gett it done in the first few days. (Regarding the special clothing given this year). I sugguest turning clicking your /shout filter when in these areas. You will find it much easier to navigate etc... =)

It's 7 hours till the event starts and I am SO glad that I am at work today.... maybe the day will go faster here than if I were at home sitting where the event moogles spawn just waiting for them to appear! (takes a deep breath) Then again, maybe not... I'll just be checking out Alla all day long waiting for people to post what they think is going to be happening in the event and what items we may be able to get from it this time and and.. and

/em head explodes into a thousand tiny pieces!!!

*sigh* did I mention that I am excited!?!?!?!

Ah yes, I still have my Goldfish Bowl, in hopes that the scooping event would return. And I made soo much money from chocobo tickets last year, I hope they are still a prize from the first week of the event.

Ramuh world will be able to enjoy my Mithran Yukata Fan Dance once more, revised with new emotes! Now, it looks 247% better than last year!

And of course, who doesn't like Mithras in bikinis on the beach? Bouncy bouncy bouncy...

I do not believe the ying yang is part of the celebration. It is new armor, but we believe it is from a Sea NM. Don't expect to get a lvl 71 JSE in this quest :)

Somebody's already found it:
http://ffxi.killvoid.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=66968&d=0

Details:
NM in Ro'Maeve called Shikigami Weapon.

Yin-Yang Robe is not 100% drop.

Respawn time is unknown, believed to be 21-24 hours. Longer than 6-7 hours, according to people who are camping it.

Spawns around K-8, but will move around the zone - does not go behind the Moon Gate. It is only visible on Wide-Scan.

Apparently, at night, it will appear and link if you're fighting another weapon. Supposedly goes back to being invisible if the party it's fighting gets wiped - have to catch another weapon to make it link and reappear.

Happy Hunting (-.-);

The rewards for goldfish scooping LAST year were elemental candy drops and the grand prize was.....a firework! forgot its name but it made a mask go over your face for like 10 seconds. There was also another quest last year that gave you Lord's and Lady's Yukata which enhanced goldfish scooping results ^.^ it would take VERY long for me to explain how the yukata's are obtained so i'll just leave that for you to find out on the 21st! have fun.
