Blitz Buffalo

Did you enjoy the Sunbreeze Festival, kupo? We expected it to bring cool breezes to Vana'diel, but somehow it's as hot as ever. But I have good news, kupo! The M.H.M.U. has come up with yet another cool festival to beat the heat--"Blitz Buffalo"! You all know about buffalos, right? They're big, black beasts that inhabit the Uleguerand Range. We moogles were able to move them to areas outside of several nations using special magic, kupo! Eh? Did you just grumble something about "troublemakers"? That word isn't in our moogle vocabulary, kupo. Anyway, now is your time to shine, adventurers! Chase down the buffalos and snag the red sashes from their horns! Let the Beastmen bask in the wisdom and courage of the nations, kupo! However...take care, kupo. The buffalos have grown rather upset watching the red sashes swaying from their horns. Sometimes you may start running after a buffalo, only to end up being the one chased! You wouldn't want to be sent flying into the clouds, would you? On the other hand, the breeze up there might be rather refreshing...if you live to enjoy it, kupo... So, do you have enough courage to provoke one of the giant beasts? What's that? "It sounds extremely dangerous"? Don't worry--you'll be fine! Live for the moment, right, kupo? Live on the edge...kupo... Actually, we moogles gave the event a trial run ourselves and had a blast! The sweat around our ears and the pounding of our chests during the hunt... It was a real rush, kupo! Facing the blood-chilling glare of the buffalo...knowing what must be done... Ohhh, it makes me shiver just thinking about it, kupo! That relieved gasp of freedom after barely escaping a buffalo's enraged charge...then turning back to seize the chance... I...I just can't take this anticipation, kupo! Um, anyway! J-just make sure to participate! Well then... Until next time, kupo!!! [Event Details] This event is scheduled to commence on August 25, 2005 at 17:00, and will last until September 5, 2005 at 0:00 (PDT). [Event Locations] - Southern San d'Oria - Northern San d'Oria - Bastok Mines - Bastok Markets - Windurst Waters - Windurst Woods

once again they have a pointless event where noobs can be owned, but for some info on the buffalos, i soloed one real easy with my 65 rdm. They have poor accuracy. I would say any rdm 63+ can solo them but if your a melee job i would sub nin or wait a little while. They also link so be careful.
sweet?

Here at the M.H.M.U. us Moogles have decided to warp Kirin and his buddies into the Crawler's Nest. He links with everything. Here's my buddy Jormungand, he's flying into town just for the festivities. No he doesn't need an airship pass. Heh. You'll see why soon enough. Maybe if you're smart, you'll wait until the festival has been up a few days before you participate. You see, Moogles are born retarded and consequently we have a hard time coming up with events that work. So we'll change the rules in about a week to eliminate the price gouging that will happen on any rewards or drops associated with it. Oh, by the way, you wouldn't know where a Moogle could score some rock do ya?

If it was like the running of the bulls, it would be great to see 50 people running around the towns screaming while bulls chase them. I say in towns because that's the event location... but you'll prolly get tele'd somewhere I guess. Hmmm, the possibilities, this should be great.

HAHAHA, I just had a great thought. It would be great if the Buffalo were like as strong as Vrtra and Kirin and ran amok in town specifically targeting anyone standing still to long or with a Bazaar up! Put them in Jeuno too, kill all them "daikon shops mules" in Lower Jeuno on Quetzalquatl. You fellow Quazis know who I'm talking about, kill all them damn "shops" lagging everything up with their presence.

Cheer up everyone.. This festival starting means Summerfest ending! I mean, Summerfest was alright. The fireworks and taru strippers were nice and funny.. Respectively.. Lol. :P But yeah, the music and fireworks get annoying after a month.. :p

Edit: That's right.. The Taru strippers never got annoying.. Lol xD

eh - this event should be fun. I generally like all the events - like summerfest was a blast. I got my (semi-uselss) goldfish set on the first day of the festival and got my swimsuit when azimuth circle was released. The only problem is that after almost a month of the same thing they start to feel alittle forlorn. If you get the items too early you get tired of the events later and if you do it too late nobody else wants to do it anymore >.<

The swimsuit tops have a sash-type thing on them, that's probably what you saw.

I personaly think it would be cool if all items were visible like waist and back and even ranged items, but that would eff people with low end systems up the yin-yang.
RE: Sashes
# Aug 22 2005 at 6:38 AM Rating: Decent
People with low-end systems would get "Eff'd up the yin-yang" with this game anyway if they don't put filters on. All SE would have to do is add a couple more filters. I'm a set type of person, I'd love to see a Red Cape +1 flying behind an RDM or a Prism Cape on ANYONE! :)

Some of you guys are psycho. Stop being so negative about the event, nobody is forcing you to do them. It's for the people who like to have fun. They try to take your mind off leveling and farming to do something interesting and unusual. If you're not going to do the event, fine, but please don't post on how something will suck if you haven't tried it yet.
Level Cap? Bring it on...
