I've been getting the login issues too, and just now (4:30AM EDT) I'm not able to login to POL at all. I got a bad connection d/c, and now I can't get back in at all. Not normal, and yeah, with as much maintenance as they've been doing, they really shouldn't be having this problem. Hell, I can't even get to the Playonline website (though this may just be my comp as it likes to be picky).

EDIT: 6:35AM EDT, and it just happened again. Got booted off with a bad connection d/c, and can't log back in to POL at all. Site is still down to me as well. >.>

I've played for 14 hours today (second to last day before college starts, and I work full-time). Here are the problems I have experienced:

1) Shortly after 4 PM CDT, began having trouble logging back into mule and main characters after logging out from game (the purpose of these logouts and logins was for AH Mule-ing).

2) After 8 PM CDT Saturday, completely unable to have regular logout. Logout consists of two minutes of waiting to logout followed by what appears to be a bad connection d/c that really isn't the case (game is unable to communicate logout to Login Server).

3) After 9 PM CDT Saturday, unable to login to mule character at all. Able to login to main character with ease. >.> <.< >.< Huh?

4) About 1:45 AM CDT Sunday, unable to logout in similar fashion as event two. Did not attempt to log back in because I was going to bed.

5) Found Maintenance Note on POL that problems had been resolved at 1:50 AM CDT (11:50 PM PDT Saturday).

I know this has nothing to do with the problem that everyone is ******** about, but I just saw the video of FFXI for Xbox 360 and it looks freaking AMAZING! its on Team Xbox website, look it up on google.

yea we dont care about 360 they're going to be on seperate servers from what I have heard. also of course it looks amazing because it has a better graphic generator than a CP or ps2.

i dont think that this will be the case... i mean.... after all this is the first crossplattform game :)

They are gonna get stuck on the newer servers unless they have a world pass, so don't expect a bunch of new players on your server unless your on a newer server.

Hey Guys and Gals, Guess what? Its just a game, or did you forget about Real Life? O_o

Square Enix reserves the right to perform maintenance, and yet here we are with alot of people complaining about maintenance... If you don't like it go play another game.

And for Gods sake, STOP WHINING.

.. and your'e here on the forums just like everyone one else is, not doing something major in "Real Life".. like building a ship or something. Some people may just be upset because this is what they do in their free time, and now their free time is being gimped.

Wow i really expected better flaming lol, Alla needs to live up to its flaming reputation =P

Anyways, yes im on these forums, why not? I read things here hoping to expand my knowledge on the game or perhaps correct others on mistakes. Its kinda sad when i see everyone complaining about a little server issue.

All things granted at most i find it annoying that SE has server problems, but have you stopped to notice that gilsellers have been dropping like flies? Ddos maybe? just maybe? =P

Maintenance today is to let you play. So yes, today's maintenance does in fact make the gameplay smoother, simply because right now it's at a dead stop. You complain about SE yet continue playing their product... amazing. I personally don't mind sitting out for a few hours. It gives me time to get back into Halo or go swimming or... type... on... forums... my god! It's like taking crack to replace heroine!

i dont mind sitting out either. my main point is that all these maint. times they have had lately havent really fixed anything.

people still cant log in, there are still search function errors, and according to some people, there's even new things wrong, like your wrong job level, location, ect. being listed on the character select screen.

They do if the sever should go down more over an hour they give you a free day some time's but its rare since the EVE sever is down an hour every say to update items and such.

it seems to me that this kida thing is becoming more and more frequent. Not to mention the updates and mainentce that happens it seems twice a month. There should be some sort of credit for time your unable to play. Shoot you pay for a month, you should get a month. Just a thought!

I get a crazy error when I try to login too >.> It happens on the "Accept user aggreement" page. Very annoying. Could it be hackers ******** with the servers?
