Valtiar is a Hume from Bastok. He started out adventuring as a warrior, but later decided to do less killing and more healing by changing jobs to white mage. The most deciding factor in his decision to change was his meeting with his two greatest companions, a Mithra warrior named Naesse and a Taru Taru black mage named Deruku. These three companions have decided to try to make a difference on Vana'diel.
