Dynamis - Valkurm can be accessed once you reach level 65 and have completed CoP chapter 3, because Diabolos is your 'guide' to the new areas.

unfortunately not. in order to have access to the 3 newer dynamis areas, you must be have beaten Diabolos during COP mission and have the key item gained from the cutscenes that allow you into the old areas, in addition to using an hourglass.

dynamis: buburimu, valkurm, qufim are all 36ppl max. when you enter any of these 3 areas all ppl lose their subjobs. that means you lose all stat bonuses, job traits, and job abilities from having a subjob. in each area there is a ??? that will unlock subs for all ppl in the area.

dynamis: tavnazia is 18ppl max. i dont know if you lose access to your subjob or not.


killingifrit has the most info on all of the new dynamis areas, including strategys on how to beat each of the areas bosses and maps, so if you are going to be trying any of them i suggest you look them up there first.

Not strictly true, and especially not true for this area. In Valkurm you must kill the three Nightmare Flies in order to regain your subjobs. At least that is how we have done it every time.

Actually there is always a "???" in each new area where you can unlock your subjobs which are restricted when you come into the area.

Each ??? is randomly located in several different points so you have to really look for it. It makes things a lot easier.

You are correct that there are monsters around the area which also will restrict the malboro's abilities and are necessary in order to defeat him. The ??? for subjobs is just kind of an extra bonus to find and make things even easier.

For Dynamis-Qufim, Buburimu, Valkurm:
-??? unlocks subjobs again (randomly located)
-Locate and kill the key NMs which will in some way restrict each area's boss (Qufim elementals will greatly reduce the gigas's stats: aka red = str etc, Valkurm the NMs will restrict abilities and powers, Buburimu the NMs will delete WSs and 2hr abilities of the Shadow Dragon: aka one will be Heavy Stomp, defeat it and dragon can't use HS anymore)
-AF includes Belts and Capes for jobs (AFv2 capes/belts that is) as well as select basic AFv2 (ones you can also get from base cities) It seems that you need to defeat the bosses, then locate the "nightmare" mobs that spawn after his/her defeat. They're the only ones that have a high rate of drops.

For Dynamis-Tavnazia (bear with me as I haven't been here yet)
-I think there's probably another ??? here. I've heard different stories from different LSs
-The boss here seems to need to be defeated in many different locations
-No idea what AF drops

Hmmm... for Dynamis-Bubu and Qufim there are the "???"s for Sub Jobs but they are not in Valkurm. You must kill the 3 flies to unlock the SJs as far as I know. Never found a ??? in Valkurm.

every time we've done valkurm we've killed three flies, never seen a ??? there, however that is the case in qufim and buburimu (buburimu's a blast, 40 dhalmel trains are terrifying)
