Actually, I'd attribute it to the fact that the Windurst set of CP is called "Combat Caster's" in general, and SE was too lazy to make it make sense...
Because cast also means to throw or toss, like you would a boomerang. But that confused me for about an hour too. :)
Why is it called a Combat Casters Boomerang if none of the casters can equip it?
