Just to let you guys know this item is not a waist item, its for the back. All the tanks are made for the back: Potion, Water, Ether, and the higher versions.
yeah one free ether in exchange for an earth crystal, brass tank, and a piece of sheep leather. Course you do save 3 (1 spot for belt, and 1 to dispense the ether to) inventory spots
ok... I've seen the question all over the place, "How do you refill these?!". basically it looks like if you want to refill these your gonna have to make them. here's why.... when the tank, (be it potion, ether, or water), is empty you are going to have to "De-Synth" it. this dy-synth works on "Gold Smithing" not alchemy. i wouldn't suggest trying the de-synth until at least lvl 20 gold smithing (round about guess) i tried breaking a potion tank w/ mog hancement de-synth on darks day and failed 6 times losing the tank on the 6th try. so unless you can make these items just forget refills unless you got a gold smithing and alchemy friend/friends. personally i would just throw the empty away unless you have the appropriate skills. sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
I was crafting these today... lvl 58 alchemy and i was making them no problem. My leatherworking is lvl 0 and I recieved a 0.2 Skill Up on Leatherworking.
Man i went out and bought the ether and potion tanks at once thinkin endless supply right? WRONG i gave 3 eithers away and sold one to ah. Used the last and started gettin pissed it wasnt refilling lol. If there is anyway to refill or if anyone can desynth for some usefull stuff ill give for pennies. Gutter on Siren server.
cant you just sell your empty tank to an NPC and buy another one. I dont see why not being able to refill it makes it a bad deal. Its the only way to get ethers w/o them taking up 5 inventory spaces (if you need say 5 ethers lol). If the price for the tank is more than the price per ether and you've done all the gobbie bag quests and have plenty of inventory, then yes, its a bad deal. I wish they had these when i was skilling up on ethers, wouldve saved a lot of space on my mules lol.
the level cap for Alchemy must be in the low-to-middle 50s, because is defined as a "Journeyman" recipe and usually the guild asked for Yoto or Acid Claws. I did not get skillups with Leathercraft at level 20.
Most items that have a charge when they run out they become another item similar to it without the charges. This one when it runs out probably ends up being a leather belt or something.
The benefit this item has is the crafter is getting back 1 extra ether, but also it's a method of stacking an unstackable item (Stack max being 5). For other tanks like this one that has stackable items you'll get a full stack out of them, but for this one it's 1 per charge (since 1 is as far as Ether's Stack).
Each number, Ex: 5/5, each number is one stack of the item, so like, for Water Tank, its 40/40. This means its about 480 distilled waters! just wanted to share that
This is completely and uterly wrong. Ethers don't stack period. Not even when they are sitting in their inventory. Each time the ether belt is used you receive one ether. This item will give you a maximum of 5 ethers. It will not give you stacks of ethers, because stacks of ethers do not exist.
It could actually be anywhere up to 65-68 cap if Azima gives you the recipe ^^; I'm lv60 alchemy and she gave me the recipe for various anima, which apparantly caps at 75.
hmm... maybe they lowered it, because I'm under the impression that each guild has a 'over', 'near' and 'far from' skill level list, where 'over' is 1 to SL+0, 'near' is SL+1 to SL+5, and 'far from' is SL+6 to SL+10.. at least it goes like that with woodworking.
Would be nice if you could attempt the anima synths at 60, with glasses (@ skill 48) and advanced synth support. Tried any yet?
I don't remember the exact numbers for the Ether tank but I'm sure they are in the same order as the potion tank. the tag should look like this <x/x[y:yy/z:zz]> x should be the charges, y should be the time it takes to function after equiped, and z should be the reuse time
Alright... so this thing holds five ethers so that you don't use up four extra inventory slots? Thats the idea right..? And also what do the stats in the bottom right corner of the discription box indicate. I'm guessing 5/5 means the amount of ethers it holds but the others?
One of the guild NPCs gave me the recipe for this its:
Earth Crystal
1 x Square Sheep Leather 1 x Brass Tank 4 x Ethers
I'm going to make one but hold on to it when I need a MP boost so I don't waste it. I really hope that Brass tank isn't consumed, the think cost me 10k.
Edit: Just tried and it blew up in my face, lost the brass tank too. :( Anyways while doing it my leatherworking skill went up .1, currently it's zero. My alchemy skill is 58. So apparently this takes some leather working skill as well.
Can anyone tell me how to use this item i would like to buy one but im usually careful when it comes to new items especially becase it might just suck <sorta like the one time use of the hydro pump lol> anyway thanks for listening.
~its just a game play it the way you want not the way others tell you...just dont kill them with bad ideas
