I just bought this on the Shiva Server from San d'Oria for 3,500gil for leveling RNG to eventually get to COR ^^ but the price has drastically dropped from the first one I bought for leveling THF about 6months ago when it was ~30k What happened?
also, anybody think this has a hidden effect? Like increased Crit Chance? I only have 19 dagger skill @ lvl9 and I've been critting like crazy since I got this dagger. Does anyone know?

I wanted this dagger to skill-up as THF and decided to camp the NM. 5-6 hours later 3 kills no dagger, 4 stacks of beechips and 3 stacks of honey. I decided to give up sell the beechips and honey and buy the dagger. Got 20K for beechips and honey. Brought the dagger for 8K in Jeuno (Odin).
By the way skill-ups are super-fast with this dagger, it was worth it. >^.^<

Any place on 2nd or 3rd lvl where a Maneating Hornet can spawn, you can find NM, I have been the only one around here for hrs... only fought it 2x.. Only Got Chips
and honey... I want to get this dagger, so I can start lvling my 7thf ..
People who camp NMs ONLY to sell drops are no better than GS. People need this gear and do not want to spend your prices.

wow yea unless ur leveling dagger skill,using it as a sub weapon,or using it to start off a lvl thf its useless though i did get better at steal when it was equipped
I could have sworn, back in '04, I got this off a bee in sarutabaruta. Did maybe SE originally have this as a rare bee drop, then move it later to an NM?

I bought one of these for my RNG, and also because I wanted to level up my dagger skill (it was only 19 when I got it). Bought from Jeuno at 20k, and was heading back through la thiene towards sandy. Opened up widescan because of the wind weather, and decided to fight an air elemental with it on my RDM41/RNG6. Put on enblizzard, put up stoneskin, and just went at it. Got 4 dagger levels before I finished with Blizzard. Then the weather switched to rain, and this time I had the idea to not use en-spells at all. Tracked down a water elemental, buffed with stoneskin/phalanx/regen/refresh, and just let my RDM go nuts with the beestinger.
My dagger skill got up to level 40, and the damn thing wasn't even dead yet, so I finished off with a newly learned Gust Slash.
My main selling point was solely the 150 delay. Does WONDERS for skillups. Combined with en- spells, I enjoy this dagger very much.
EDIT: Next mob -> searched for a battering ram. My dagger skill is now 45.4.

With my 23 war this is easy, i go up on the moutain to get the Beestinger. But instead i do both, look for Sophie, and farm...got at least 12 stacks of beehive chips, and 5 stacks of honey, and like 3 or 4 stacks of insect wings...So when i see her, everytime ive killed her, NO DROP OF BEESTINGER!...now im 1/6 on her...cause when i was leaving and thought it was hopeless, she pops DIRECTLY in front of me...so i kill her, and there it is...BEESTINGER!....its an awsome weapon, i mean dmg is ehh but the attribute plusses like Dex and Agi are a advantage now to mention the wicked Delay..
Well, I had to use 2 Hr with my Lvl 11 Mnk, but I killed Sophie and got the drop.
Now I have to level up Thief so I can use it! Mebbe I will use it with Ninja, but the damage output is a concern, even with the delay being so good.

Wow so cheap for you guys.We pay 16k for them ON Asura but its not a bad thing cuz im one of the people that sells them when i get them which isnt very often : P

I got this today and I have to say its amazing. If at all possible any THF should get this, you generally get 2 attacks for every 1 attack recived. Much less headache lvling THF now, it made Decent Chalenge monsters considerably easyer.^^

hey can the beestinger be duel weild because its a rare does that mean it cant correct? it would be cool to duel weild
Since it's rare you can only have one, but that doesn't stop you from Dual Wielding it with a Hornet Needle^^

noboy really camps her... i usually just run into her while farming beehive chips. I've gotten the Beestinger about 5 or 6 times.. pretty easy drop

This things running for over 12k on Alexandere, like ne pre 20 Thf is gonna want to blow 15k on something like tis. Granted is a good wpn and i REALLY want one, but whoever put it upfor 15k needs to be slapped honestly....
I bought it for 15k and think its well worth it. The price isnt that high. Most people that buy them keep them. After lvling thf your rng or nin can use them. For ninjas its a great off hand weapon. Rangers its great becouse you want your dagger up at lvl 28 Archer's Knife, lvl 30 Hawker's Knife. Its worth it.

at lvl 15 thf\war when i was farming bees i ran into her killed her got the drop then staid farming for about a hour and BOOM! she was there again i killed her and WTF NO DROP but then i noticed other then the fact i might not have gotten it i couldnt have stuipid Rare :) i killed lots i am 25\31 with her i used to kill her like 6 times a day
well i am not no low lvl now and btw i am a galka most ppl thought i couldnt kill her so they let me fight her and i killed her and they are like WTF luckys ????er i laughed and after i said i do this alot and they thought it was my first time beging up there and btw i am not a noob now i am jsut a really big complainer also a lvl 52 pld

Just so you know Hugeogre.. the reason you didn't get the drop the second time is because you can only have 1 Beestinger at a time due to it being Rare..
actually I think having weapon shouldn't prevent her from dropping. It should drop and then you'd get some "you do not meet the requirements for the blah blah". That's how it is with other items you can't have more than 1 of.
That is untrue. Two-leaf Mandragora Buds are Rare, and whenever I have one in inventory, I have never seen a mandy drop one after killing dozens and dozens. The only way you would get that message if it was a party situation and there was at least one member who didn't have the rare item.
Treasure chest keys are rare/ex, and I've lost many of those. You CAN have 2+ keys on you for a short time though. Make sure your inventory is full, so that any drop is kept in the treasure pool. You can then invite someone else to get it.
