I think the complete set of this armor is great, u know i dont care about the +% slow since u can just make a macro to equip it rioght before doing any weapon skill, that way your WS will be kicking any mob's a$$ and u dont have to worr about the slow. After WS just use another macro to go back to your normal equipment, SH, Hauby or w/e. ^.^
this would be nice gear but i keep hearing that if u get full set u get the slow% taken away form aumor as a hidden effect. if so can ne1 comform this info?
This is a load of crap. Having the entire set on does not remove the slow %. I have trouble believing anyone in an LS capable of getting full Hecatomb (see: killing fafnir and nidhogg) could be so stupid as to think equipping the entire set removes the slow effect. Lol.
Call me n00b for this but, what is the actual truth behind the +% to "Slow" and "Haste"? Do these effects make you move slower/faster depending upon the appropriate spell being cast? Or is it an always active effect that makes all of your movements slower/faster? I've seen both sides of the coin in numerous threads. {Help me out!} {Thank you!}
Why in the hell would you want something like this so you can be look im lvl 1 kill a lvl 85 monster? give me a break the game is ment to work for porwer not to be a cheating SoB with crap armor that give you everything its just stupid i would not ware this crap armor if i was paid 99mill.
Aside from the level 1 comment, I agree. I think there is an over appropriate of 'uber' gear. I think if there were any uber-stats at all, it should be put to the Relic armor, not random items like these. It puts an imbalance to the game, even if the concept is to macro it in. I'm a traditionalist and believe macro'ing stuff takes away from the originality of players. It's good to have a set of gear that stands out above the rest, but there should be enough trade offs so that no one is ever called out for choosing one set over the other. There shouldn't be perfect gear, save for Relics. And we all know most of the relic armor is nothing but aesthetics. I wish they had thought better on that.
This, with the other pieces, is swapped in when using a weaponskill (hopefully with SA). You'd only want to keep the entire set on for TP gain as THF if you are having trouble clearing the 0DMG barrier on very heavily armored enemies such as Za'Dha Adamantking. The +slow on the set is this particular abjuration's penalty and can be easily circumvented by only macroing it in when performing weaponskills.
Macro the set in for WS when playing the burst damage melee classes. THF and ???/THF will benefit from a heavily spiked STR and DEX boost on a WS connecting with SA. I see benefits for DRG, DRK, WAR (even though they can use God armor), and THF with this set.
this is not TP gear, this is WS gear, MAINLY for a DRK for use with Spinning Slash, the Damage Modifiers for Spinning Slash are 75% STR 25% INT.
So after u get TP u switch to this gear (I woudl use the cap, body and feet, cause i already have pallas Bracers which give +9 STR ^^) and u use WS since u stack SATA on Spinning Slash it will NEVER miss so u dont need the ACC, then after WS u switch back to TP gear, that means all the ACC u can get ur hands on.right now with all my STR gear and sushi i have +40 STR, if i got the cap and harness it woudl bump me up a full 15 STR and i would have 55 ^^ HEHE {Yes, please}
Hecatomb items are uncursed with the Neptunal abjurations.
The main ingredient in all the cursed items that turn into Hecatomb is Angel Skin, a bonecraft item, which runs for about 2 million. Not as bad as Shura, whose cursed items use multiple pieces of Divine Lumber to craft.
Other cursed items include the Zenith set that uses Siren's Macrame, Koenig which uses Orichalcum/Platinum ingots/sheets/chains, and Crimson uses Dragon blood (Cheapest cursed set).
we all know that the more delay your weapon has the more tp you get per hit. iv heard in other forums that the slow +% give extra tp also, can anyone confirm this? you could like equip this during a multi hit ws and get back more tp if this is true
Haste and Slow don't alter the amount of TP you receive. Dual Wielding does though, as its affect on delay directely impacts the base TP gain from your weapons.
The Slow +9% is an effect that happens when you have slow cast on your or an attack that gives you the effect of slow. It's the opposite of the items that are +haste.
that's the stats of the entire set when put together.
put on a speed belt and blitz ring for haste+7% to lower this to +35%slow, then have someone caste haste on you. you'll be hitting so hard, and so accurately(keep in mind dex also determines how often you hit criticals) that your attack speed is MORE than made up by how bad you're hurting them.
