The Reason why the body piece when upgraded goes from Blaze Spikes -> Shock Spikes, is so that if you do get hit, the Shock Spikes could proc and Stun the mob for a short period of time, thus meanin ya could get Utsusemi back up more easily.
Not to mention that +5 Dex improvement is really nice in terms o' gettin Acc and Crit+ 8P

if shock spikes is going off alot, then youre getting hit too much.
The DW is still a 5% increase but this piece is still worth it.
DEX+5 for 2.5 acc and 0.5% crit rate. I'm not sure how often Shock Spikes goes off but if it's similar to the NQ then not much I'd guess.
