Word to the wise: Cooking Moghancement can apparently be received from only one item, the Cordon Bleu (Blue Ribbon) Set. (ffxicannotlinkto/itemdb/furniture.php). It is energy 9, so its Moghancement would be overpowered by many desirable furniture pieces. To be used effectively would require the house to contain only furniture of energy 9 and below, with -up to- 92 points of mostly wind energy from other furniture. Note that this is true of many other Moghancements as well. The most expensive cooking guild item, it is acquired with 150,000 guild points. The least expensive is 200 points.
I did this quest in hopes of acquiring Mogenhancement:Cooking.
So I removed everything from my moghouse and placed the Tableware Set on the floor. Mogenhancement?
Lightning. "Moogle-powered assistance from your Mog House. Reduces the chances of losing materials when synthesis attempts utilizing a lightning crystal have failed."
If this is a tableware set, why not put it on a table? I did that, Maple Table overrode the mogenhancement with Mogenhancement: Gardening.
So, yeah, if this is rumored to improve Cooking, it's not through a Mogenhancement.

Umm... Yes, please don't post stuff based off guesses. Yes the cooking guild item improves your cooking skill, but according to your very own moogle, this one does too.
