I got one mainly to match the rest of the weaver's gear, I use it when I'm doing request crafting in Jeuno.
I'm confused as to WHY you would want this?
I mean, if you are crafting on the go, it would be nice, but it seems like a huge waste of 10,000 GP.

for crafting items with non-stacking ingredients that come from a regional vendor?

Useful out in the field especially for peeps who have more than one craft. For example I have cloth, leather and bone. If I went farming rams in the Highlands my bonecraft is closer to the horn hairpin cap than my leathercraft is to the ram leather cap. So I might user the tanner's belt to help me make leather at less of a loss. It means I can stack the leather, farm for longer and get skill ups whilst away from the guild.
