Lol i suspected that for a long time, but i never saw any tests... Thanks for the link, its a very interesting subject, and i'm sure i've got a lot more testing to do with this baby :D
I'm a 75 drg and I have learned that this belt is the best belt because for the drg's usually strongest attack penta thrust (not saying always but usually it is) its main mods are acc and att dex and str are very smallll mods on it I have pumped + over 30 str into my wheeling and barely saw a difference in it then my +15 so I"m not really sure how big of a buffer str and dex are to any of drg's ws (I havent really tested impulse drive) so overall this would be an insane belt in a prty =+7 acc and attack could make penta do a few hundred more cause all hits will land and they will be stronger and +5 vit and 5 def will rock when soloing so this belt is amazing
My LS decided to do dynamis-Buburimu for the second time. First time we basically just got our asses kicked. None the less, we killed AB and went on to farm. We got WAR AF2, Scout's Belt (rng), Wyrm Belt and PLD AF -1.
Being pretty much the only DRG in my shell, I got the belt. :D I heard it is the 4th one on Hades.

Ok, maybe i dont get things right, but how in hell +5 dex and +5 strght are better than 7 acc and 7 attack? dex and strght are modifiers, they add up to your base stats, then theyre calcualted to other stuff like dmg, attck, acc, critical, etc.
What i know so far (and i would love if someone with better REAL info send me a correction) is attack, def, acc, etc, they add up to the final result, after the calculation, affecting a minor range, as said, just accuracy or attack.
As far as it concerns to drg, and what ive learned as a 70 drg, is that pretty much everything in this job is about attack and acuracy. So please someone help me understand how the heck a warwolf is better than this one?
We all know that dex affect acc and criticals, do I really want critical over acc?, i dont think so, do i really want the extra ranged attack ill get from strght, over plain attack that translates in dmg? hell no!!!!
for a drg +5 str and +5 dex would be good since dex and str are modifiers for penta thrust, wheeling thrust and impulse drive both have str as modifier,
+5 str and dex would be good for the modifier but then you gotta factor in the enemys defense rating and your attack rating.... im still trying to figure it all out myself .... ^^; but you can switch gear before you ws to add the dmg, for regular melee purposes you would want the + atk and +acc since every 2 str or dex = 1 acc or attk

from what I understand, from talking to many other samurais inquiring about stats and such, STR is the main modifier for weapon skill damage, straight attack has no affect on it, so for weapon skills, a warwolf belt would be far superior than this, however, as a drg this would be more useful during regular combat
so i suppose its really up to you as to whether you wanna use this or a warwolf (when i get up there, if i have my hands on this, i plan to have armor swap macros for things like this just for ws, like i have on my samurai)
(if any of my information is wrong please feel free to correct me)
PS: Like someone asked, how do you get your paws on one of these?? lol
When the damage mods are big, 50+%, then using them is better most of the time. When they are small like 10% for asuran fists and 20% for penta thrust, normall attack and acc are better for them.
This is a really nice belt, its like an updated master belt. I like warwolf belt too, but if you really want to boost your accuracy and attack, its better to do it directly than through str and dex even though they are good as modifiers. I think dragoon gets a lot of VIT in its equipment choices because dragoon has been established as a knight-type job, I don't have a problem with having more vit, especially with all the +enmity gear we can wear.
Dragoon is Lucky to get this belt. Of course it looks like vit isn't as helpful as strength or dexterity would be for dragoon. This would be better for paladins in terms of vitality, but of course we get enough vit gear as it is :3. I already have +18 worth of vit gear for paladin and soon to have more when I get (can't remember name of shield, although it is a heater shield lvl 38 + 10 Def + 1 Vit) a new shield, and mercenary's earring, another verve ring. Yeah I'll have vitality coming out of places that I never knew existed.
Still nice Item for Dragoon's all around. Just better if you sub warrior for this, they the only ones who'd really benefit from this. Dragoon of course can sport the heavy armor at times.
Id love to have that on my pld, although im at like +55 vit in gear already but still it would be nice to have the attack acc and vit for tanking and dding at the same time for xp parties oh well its a drg item ill have to live with that.
Not really wrong, it just depends on the circumstance. There's a 'best belt' depending on what you really need most. I'd use this one for high evasion mobs, otherwise warwolf all the way.
Dunno if anyone else has gotten this really, heck I only got it by what I saw as a fluke. We hauled **** through Dynamis-Buburimu and killed the boss, Apocalyptic Beast, then started messing around. All of a sudden the drg belt falls out of the sky and I'm the only one there that could lot it, lol. All in all, not a bad alternative to a life belt when you need accuracy.
