Description

When you enter Neptune's Spire in Lower Jeuno, you will see a Tarutaru NPC named Sutarara in a room, along with Ghebi Damomohe behind the counter. Sutarara talks about the Tenshodo being "right under your nose." The Neptune's Spire is actually the Tenshodo Headquarters. To gain entrance, you need to select the third, blank line when speaking with Ghebi behind the counter. She will say that you need either a Tenshodo Invite or an Application Form.

Head to Port Bastok and talk to Jabbar in Warehouse #2 across from the Airship Agency to receive the Application Form, then head back to Ghebi in Neptune's Spire. You will gain entrance to the Tenshodo trade ring, a Tenshodo Invitation, and more importantly, finish the quest.

Just wanted to put my 2cents in. I did the Only the Best quest to get fame for this. I turned in 5 stacks of moss and my fame hit lvl2. Went to go talk to the NPC and I was able to get in. I had even started at 0 Jeuno fame.

i think that jeuno fame is equal to the combined total fame of all 3 nations plus any fame earned in jeuno itself. tenshodo adds to fame gained in norg and norg fame can be obtained doing the tenshodo invite quest, trading zinc ores to an NPC in bastok (cant remember the name), trading yagudo bead necklaces to nanaa mihgo (not sure on spelling and im half asleep =_=), and doing norg quests. basically, just do as many quests as you can EVERYWHERE (remember there are repeatable quests too). i think by now many of you knew this anyway. im only putting in what i was told and over heard. yes, there are a lot of quests but hey, you want fame so do what you gotta do! have fun, dont kill yourselves, etc., etc. and then SE comes up with even more things for everyone to do. ok im sleepy goodnight, good morning, good afternoon, and goodbye.

If you have the Invite, you get to be a Tenshodo member, no matter whether you have started the quest or if you even have enough fame.

I just borrowed a Tenshodo Invite from a LS Member and got my mule Tenshodo access. (Currently waiting for the Aht Urhgan ship to leave Mhaura.)

Anyone remember the new years moogle vs. goblin thing????

if you got all the cards and traded them to the moogle (in bastok) you got the {Bastok Stables Medal} I didnt see much use for it but...

Set you HP in Jueno, Bastok Stb. Medal to bastok, go to port bastok, get the invite, and warp/ bloodport/ instant warp back to jueno!!!!
10 min at the most!!!!!

ONe question though, would this count as norg or jeuno fame???

I recall reading somewhere that Jeuno fame is the average of your Main Cities fame (Sandy, Windy, and Bastok) I have level 4 Sandy, Windy and Bastokan Fame(1 quest done for Jeuno) and I have Rank 4 Jeuno Fame and just started the Gobbie Bag 1 quest and the RSE quests. So that's just my theory on how the fame works....just an average ^^

The key to any quest is time. And this one is no excception. If you are like me and do this before you have an airship pass, save yourself at least one choco trip - and some gil.

You have to start the quest in Lower Jeuno, so save your homepoint there, as you end it there as well. NOTE: If your homepoint is already saved in Bastok, -do not- save your homepoint in Jueno. A choco from Bastok to Jeuno is cheaper than Jeuno to Bastok.

As stated above, the quest is in Neptune's Spire (J-7). However, you do not necessarily have to speak to Silver Owl to "start" the quest. There is a tarutaru (Sutarara) in the second room to your left. He will say the "right under your nose" dialogue. From there, go to the NPC, a mithra named Ghebi Damomohe behind the counter. When her choices for interaction come up, there will be a "blank" third option. If you do not see this option, perhaps your fame is too low. Select this option. She will explain the Tenshodo a little to you then tell you how to join. Unless you receive the Tenshodo Invite from a friend, or from the AH, you will have to travel to Bastok to get the application.

If you have your homepoint in Bastok, this is a good time to bloodport. If not, get on your chicken and ride (of course this means you saved your homepoint in Lower Jeuno).

Since you have to go to Warehouse #2 in Port Bastok, I recommend travelling through West N. Gustaberg -> S. Gustaberg -> East N. Gustaberg to enter Port Bastok directly. You're already on a chicken, so it is faster than running through Bastok Markets. Once inside the Warehouse, the first guy standing there, Jabbar, will give you an application. Now, if you saved your homepoint in Jeuno, bloodport home. Otherwise, it's the chicken for you.

Go back to Ghebi and she welcomes you into the Tenshodo (screening process is clearly not in place - they'll let anyone with an application in). She also gives you the Tenshodo Invite. Invite your friends. Sell it through the AH. Toss it to some European newb and give them a huge story of how you've chosen them to represent the Tenshodo. Or keep it in your inventory cuz you know you don't want the safe spaces anymore anyway.

Welcome to the Tenshodo!

just to clear things up, you have to do this before you get an airship pass since you need to get in there for the magicite mission, and you only get the pass after your done the mision. or if your retarted you could buy the pass.

If you can't get the 3rd blank option, go to the AH and buy the pass. It's under Misc. Then just trade it to her.
You don't get a ring, but access to the Tenshodo Trade Ring. You know, Ring, group?

Actually one's not; the quest info says you will "gain entrance to the Tenshodo trade ring" ... that is, MEMBERSHIP to the ring of smugglers, not a physical ring item. That is represented by a Tenshodo membership key item.

You do also get a Tenshodo Invitation item, which is an inventory item not a key item, which can be used to get someone else into the group by just presenting it. (And they get their own card back too.)

This post is correct.

On a side note: I found that Tenshodo invites were selling for 1k on the Bastok AH, but 5k on the Jeuno AH - so I bought them and sold them at a profit in Jeuno ^^

I think it's entirely in the spirit of the Tenshodo to rampantly profiteer from invites to the Cartel. The Grandmaster would be proud of me ^^

No, he didn't. He said, "How Jeuno fame works is that it takes the number of quests you have done in Jeuno, and then it adds that to the LOWEST number of quests in the three nations."

In math terms, this means:

Jeuno fame = Jeuno quests + quests in lowest fame city

This is provably false. I received the gobbie bag quest having done 0 quests in Bastok, San D'Oria, or Jeuno.

The formula you said later might be correct, but that's totally different. That works out to:

Jeuno fame = Jeuno quests + quests from all three major cities + quests from lowest city

Shortened, it's simply adding the fame from all 4 cities, and adding the lowest city once more. This seems rather illogical, as it would make more sense to simply add all 4 and be done with it. But I guess it could be true.

I'm not sure where the whole "lowest city" rumor got started, but I've yet to see a serious theory on Jeuno fame involving a "lowest city" calculation.

Jeuno fame has absolutely nothing to do with your other citys fame. Jeuno fame is for jeuno quests only, bastok fame is for bastok quests only... etc... etc...

That is my theory on it. Untill I get ready to take a level 1 to jeuno and get quests for there I'll be pretty much stuck here waiting for a dumb... i mean brave soldier to take the dangerous journey to get a gobbie bag at level 1.

I know for sure that is NOT right. Jeuno fame must have something to do with other three nation fame. I have done 3 quests in Jeuno, Lv 9 fame in Basto, Lv 7 fame in Windurst and Lv 5 fame in San d'Oria and yet I have Lv 9 fame in Jeuno. If, as you said, Jeuno is only based on quests done in Jeuno, then there is no way for me to have Lv 9 fame in Jeuno.
RE: Jeuno fame
# May 04 2004 at 1:43 PM Rating: Decent
UltimateApocalypse is absolutely right... I don't know how all these random theories for fame keep comming up... Fame in Jeuno is determined primarily by the fame in your highest fame city.
There does seem to be a few other factors but nothing earthshattering or really even worth wasting time figuring them out. I'm fame level four in Bastok and haven't even done any quests in other cities (other than advance job quests) and I got the gobbiebag quest... but that was with a level 31 war so maybe it is a level restriction after all.
Regardless if you keep doing quests and keep leveling your character you're bound to get the quest soon enough...

RE: Jeuno fame
# May 29 2004 at 6:33 AM Rating: Decent
i don't know why everyone makes this so complicated. it's probly just an averaging out of your fame in the other 3 cities. i have lvl 3 fame in bastok and sandy, lvl 1 in windy. my jeuno fame is lvl 2. i've only done one or 2 quests in jeuno. makes sense to me, and it's not that complicated.
RE: Jeuno fame
# Mar 23 2006 at 12:33 PM Rating: Decent
this is how this works, dont argue because this formula is true:

jeuno fame = average of all 3 cities fame + quests done in jeuno

this is how this works end of disscusion

Jeuno Fame
# Jan 27 2004 at 3:02 PM Rating: Default
How Jeuno fame works is that it takes the number of quests you have done in Jeuno, and then it adds that to the LOWEST number of quests in the three nations. You'll have crappy Jeuno fame if you have 25 Bastok quests done, but still only 3 Windurst quests done.

But even that doesn't make too much sense, as I have level 3 fame in Bastok, and 0 quests done for San d'Oria and Windurst yet still have level 2 fame in Jeuno with only 3 quests done. And those are for chocobo and Beastmaster.

you are 100% WRONG

I have 0 quests in windy, 0 in sandy, 0 in jueno, 50+ in bastok,(only 2 unique quests in bastok) and I have enough fame in jueno to get the goblin bag 1 quest and the tenoshen ring quest from the dragon spine inn.

no, he's not. he said, you add your fame from all around, then take that total number and add it to the city that has the lowest fame.

exempla gratia, i have done about 32 stand alone quests in windhurst. i have done about 23 stand alones in bastok. and i have done only 1 quest in san d'oria. but i have also done some 8 or so quests in mhuara, and about 3 in selbina. mhuara fame adds to windhurst, selbina adds to bastok and san d'oria (hope i got that right). in so, my total quest are over 50 too. then we add this to the city with the lowest fame, san d'oria. in so, it adds only 3 or so more. but apparently that's enough fame for jueno.

this works the same for you. you have +50 some quests done in bastok. none in anywhere else. in so, you add those all together, and still get +50. then, you take that and add it to the city with the lowest fame, and still get +50 quests done.

and there you have it, how jeuno fame works. you can do all your quests and build all your fame in one city, or spread it across three. but the calculation involves all three. so he wasn't wrong, you just didn't think byond some shallow vision.

Yeah I have a alt/mule that only did the zerum soot quest. I turned in about 40 stacks worth (yes fourty) and I got through gobbie bag 4 and safe expansion 3. ... and tenshido invite (and no it wasn't quick)

HEHEHE I did the exact same thing... I ran around zerhun getting 2 stacks at diff times all the while shouting every 10 mins to the newbs there that i would pay 1000 gil per stack... to tell me when they had a few stacks...
2 days and 20000 gil later i had enough fame to do pretty much whatever i wanted... ^^

win-win situation for everyone really... newbs are really strapped for cash and one sold me 7 stacks for 7000... I have gil but it takes forever to get drops for stack so the gil is worth the time to me...

RE: Jeuno Fame
# May 04 2004 at 1:59 PM Rating: Decent
BTW a little advice... o the zerhun sweeper quest you dont have to zone you can just keep trading and it is really fast if you have alot of inventory space... not to mention 150 gil reward for every 3 soots = 50 gil per soot reward... if you manage to buy the stacks at 1000 gil a piece it means you are paying 83-84 gil per soot meaning that if you trade 20 stacks purchaced at 1000 gil per stack, you're only paying about 8000 gil for all that fame... trust me it is definately worth 8000 gil... 20 stacks should get you to about rank 3-4 if you've done a few of the other quests too...
hope this helps...
