The Spirits of the Wild, although the Norn equivalent of Gods, are not worshiped in the traditional sense of the word, but rather revered. The most prominent animal spirits are those of the Bear, Raven, Snow Leopard and Wolf. Other animal spirits exist, such as the spirits of the Ox, Owl, and the Wurm.

Although it is the animal spirits which the norn respect the most, they acknowledge the existence of other naturalistic forces - spirits of the mountains, seasons, fire and darkness.

Some spirits have been lost, such as the Eagle Spirit whose story is unknown, while others have been chased down and eaten by Jormag.
